本物の日本を絵に描いたような、歴史的で文化的な、豊かな景色の中をトレッキングします。 専属ガイドと共に村から村へ歩き、時には村人のお宅に上がらせてもらうなど、温かい交流を楽しめます。 本ツアーでは、日本一有名な棚田の一つ「星峠の棚田」を見渡せる、特別な場所に立ち寄ります。通常の観光客が立ち入れないエリアから、景色をゆったりと鑑賞できます 【当日の流れ】 ほくほく大島駅から星峠の棚田まで約3時間、専属ガイドと一緒に歩きます。 午前中の日程の場合は朝9：15、午後の日程の場合は13：15、ほくほく大島駅でガイドと合流し、トレッキングのスタートです。（※集合時間はご相談ください。） サムライの古道はアップダウンがありますが、美しい山々を眺めながら進みます。 道中はガイドから古道の歴史や地域の暮らしについて、いろいろ話を聞いてみましょう。 また、集落の人々と交流の機会もあるでしょう。時には家に上がらせてもらい、村に伝わる昔話や歴史の話、雪国の暮らしについて、話を聞く機会もあるかもしれません。 コースの途中では、通常の観光客が入れない、星峠の棚田を一望できるスポットで休憩をします。 地域に伝わる旬のおやつと、美味しいお茶・コーヒーをご用意しております。 プライベートな風景の中で、ゆったりと景色を堪能できますよ。 トレッキング後は、まつだい駅またはほくほく大島駅までお車でお送りします。 午前コースの場合は12：15頃、午後コースの場合は16：15頃、終了予定です（多少前後する場合がございます）。 ＊日本語と英語のみ対応をしております。

■雪国の春といえば「山菜」 新潟県十日町は世界有数の豪雪地帯で、冬になると3~4mもの雪が積もり、約5ヶ月もの間雪に覆われます。そんな雪国の春は、山菜の宝庫！雪解けに合わせて様々な山菜が芽を出します。 雪国の山菜はアクが少なく特に美味しいと言われており、古来から山菜は大切な食料源として食べられてきました。山菜が採れるのは春の時期だけですが、乾燥させたり塩蔵させたりして、雪に覆われる厳しい冬の時期にも食べられるよう貯蔵します。昨今は色々便利になり昔ほど食料に困ることはなくなりましたが、今でもその当時の食習慣の名残が文化として日常に息づいてます。 ■ローカルガイドとのアドベンチャー 豪雪地の長い冬が終わると、雪国に住む人たちにとっては待ちに待った春。春の恵みをいただきに、若者から腰の曲がったお年寄りまで、時には急斜面をも越えながら野山の道なき道を探検に行きます！春のさわやかな空気はもちろん、時にはスリルも感じられるアドベンチャーには、多くの雪国の人たちが魅了されています。 本体験では、そんな雪国ならではのアドベンチャーを体験していただきます。地域の人のみぞ知る野山を歩きながら、春の植物や地域の人の暮らしについて、ローカルガイドがご紹介します。道中にはこの時期にしか見られない様々な山菜があるので、ローカルガイドのアドバイスを参考に少し摘み取ってみましょう。 下山後には、雪国の人がするように、採れたての春の恵みを味わえます。地域の人と一緒に、春の山菜を採るアドベンチャーに出かけましょう！ ■通常入れない、特別なエリアに足を踏み入れる 里山は自然と人々の暮らしの中間に位置し、山菜採りに入る里山は全て私有地です。里山は人の手を入れずに放置すると荒れてしまう大変繊細な場所でもあります。古くから雪国の人が自然とどのように折り合いを付け、住み継いできたのか知ることができます。 また、本来里山は所有者しか入れませんが、体験では特別に許可をもらい入らせてもらいます。体験料の中にはこの里山の維持管理で使われる寄付金や謝礼が含まれています。
