This is a snow trekking trip to see a large icefall with a drop of 50m or more. In the mountainous areas of southern Nara Prefecture, icefalls form here and there during the winter, but this one is the largest. There are places where it is difficult to walk on the snowy mountain trails, so we wear light crampons and walk slowly with the guide. The walking time is about 1 hour uphill and 40 minutes downhill, walking slowly while taking pictures.

Maeoni river course in the border of Nara Prefecture kamikitayama and shimokitayama. The middle, further towards the upstream of the start point overlooking the majestic immobility sept of the waterfall. In the superb view of the valley with a large waterfall, anyway beautiful water of emerald green. Diving point will appear one after another ... We will trek in the snowy mountains aiming for the powerful frozen Otaki "Hyobaku" and the beautiful ice art "Hyojun" that can be made in the cave! This area of the Omine mountain range is a mountainous area with low temperatures, and large waterfalls exceeding 30 meters can freeze in the extreme cold season. Depending on the conditions of the day, we will visit two or three icefalls and ice bamboo shoots. An experienced guide accompanies you and walks at a slow pace. No special mountaineering skills or experience are required, but physical strength is required to walk about 2 hours up and 1 hour 30 minutes down. In addition, this tour is for those who can prepare suitable equipment for trekking and those who love mountain climbing.
