In winter, Shiretoko's famous waterfall, Furepe Falls, turns into blue icicles, and the spray of the falls, blown by the north wind, creates a mysterious shape. Behind Furepe Falls, the silvery Shiretoko mountain range stands, and during the drift ice season from late January to early March, a majestic drift ice field spreads out below. To reach Furepe Falls, you will put on snowshoes (Western snow shoes) and walk freely through the forest, searching for forest creatures and their traces. Places that are difficult to access from spring to autumn become walkable thanks to snow and snowshoes, so this tour is characterized by many new discoveries. Enjoy the spectacular scenery that is typical of Shiretoko and the snowshoeing experience together. *Due to the lack of sufficient snowfall from early to late December and late March, there is a high possibility that you will be guided in boots instead of snowshoes. This is an English SUP School & Tour for foreigners. It is a private tour that provides detailed lectures not only for those with SUP experience, but also for those who are trying SUP for the first time. The port city of Yokohama has a long history of development through its ports and canals. In addition, before World War II, this area had many military facilities, factories, and shipyards. After the war, the shipyards were reclaimed, and vast business towns, high-rise residential areas, large shopping malls, urban ropeways, and more were formed. In addition, the civil engineering heritage that formed the foundation of the port city of Yokohama is actively preserved and utilized, and you can enjoy a SUP tour while touring these places. We also recommend a SUP tour while viewing the world-famous Sakura. The Ooka River that connects to the port is a famous spot for Sakura. A Sakura SUP Tour on the Ooka River when the flowers are in full bloom will be a special experience. We also offer tours for groups and rental of megaSUPs that can accommodate six people, so even those who cannot swim can participate. Please contact us.

The greatest feature of this tour is that you can enjoy the untouched nature of Shiretoko on snowshoes in areas that do not have well-maintained walking trails and still retain their pristine nature. During the tour, you can stop at a viewpoint with a spectacular view of the tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula, where you can see the hidden waterfalls that flow from the cliffs, frozen by the freezing cold. During the drift ice season, you will be amazed by the overwhelming beauty of the Okhotsk Sea covered in drift ice, and the silvery white Shiretoko Mountains towering behind the cliffs. On this tour, you will have a high chance of encountering wild animals such as Ezo deer and Ezo red foxes, so you can enjoy the winter nature of Shiretoko to the fullest. *Due to the lack of sufficient snowfall from early to late December and late March, there is a high possibility that you will be guided in boots instead of snowshoes.
