Express the words you want to write and the thoughts you want to convey with creative calligraphy. We will create one warm and original calligraphy work in the world. In the experience, instead of learning stroke order and splashes, it's time to enrich your imagination and stimulate your brain to create your one and only "Kanji" art work in the world. First, imagine the kanji you want to write and the scenery (picture) inspired by it. If you can't decide on an idea, you can refer to the collection of ideas by creative calligrapher Koji Takano. Once you have decided on an idea, use ink and paints to practice brush strokes and composition. Finally, write it down on a piece of colored paper or a paper fan to complete your masterpiece. Why don't you travel together in the world of limitless and free creative calligraphy while having fun?
After the experience, you can enjoy some Japanese sweets in the cafe space.

After working as a musician, actor, copywriter, etc., he started his calligraphy activities on the streets of New York in the winter of 1999, and started producing works. One-of-a-kind works and naming books for each individual have been produced by more than 40,000 people. With the theme of “Calligraphy on the side of <living>”, based on his own checkered life and his unique style of writing and painting, he gives lectures, participates in workshops and social activities all over the country. As an art calligraphy class instructor, he has been developing activities to widely convey the joy of expression. He also designs sake labels, product packages, titles for TV magazines, designs for children's clothing, and logos and production for restaurants. Produced the team slogan for the J-League "Gamba Osaka", co-starred in the title book and music video of EXILE ATSUSHI and pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii's co-production "Soredemo, Ikiteiku", and recorded calligraphy scenes. Created paintings for the resort hotel "Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono" in Niseko, Hokkaido. He is the author of "Don't be swept away/flowing / PHP Institute". |

Activity flow ① Lecture: "What is creative calligraphy?" ② Idea Creation Decide on a combination of the theme (picture or design) and message (your name or favorite sentence) you want to draw. If you can't think of any ideas, refer to the idea collection. ③ Warm-up Draw circles and lines to practice brush strokes and pressure. ④ Practice Practice the combination of the theme and message you chose on washi paper. ⑤ Actual performance Draw on a colored paper or fan for the actual performance.
