そば打ち歴25年という先生に、新設丁寧にそば打ちを教えていただきました。 そばは打ち初めてなこともあり、そば粉をこねるのも、麵の形に切るのも最初は上手にできませんでした。 それでも先生に和やかな笑顔で優しく教えていただけ、最後は何とかそれなりに形に上達(というほどでもないでしょうが)できたと思います。 おかげさまで、楽しみながら初めてのそば打ちを体験をすることができました。 そしてそばを打ち終わったあとがまた良かったんです。 自分で打ったそばを茹でてもらえ、食べることができるんです。 それも、おいしく上がった天ぷら付きで。 茹で上がったそばは、自分が切ったとおり、太いのやら細いのやらが混在してて。 そんなふうに見た目は悪いんですが、自分で打ったという愛着もひとしおのそばを、おいしく揚がったてんぷらと一緒に食べることができました。 そば打ちの先生、受付していただいた女性職員の方、会計のところにおられた男性職員の方、厨房でそばを茹でてくれた女性職員の方、皆さんにすごくよくしていただき、本当に感謝です。 施設の皆さんの対応も本当に暖かく、これを機会に自分でも自宅でそば打ちしてみようかなあ、と本気で考えているほどです。 ありがとうございました。

In 2007, it was selected by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as one of the ``Top 100 Local Dishes of Rural Areas,'' which has been passed down to rural areas throughout Japan and is widely supported by the people. Hoto noodles are different from regular noodles in that they do not need to be left to rest. Therefore, the noodles are made by hand from the powdered state. Our store also offers a dyeing experience where you can experience traditional Japanese dyeing techniques using natural materials, which can be used as a set with the hotou experience.
