[Enjoy a "creation trip" at the foot of Mt. Fuji.] Our restaurant is an experiential local cuisine and culture workshop located in the naturally rich Kawaguchiko area at the foot of Mount Fuji, Yamanashi's symbol. Located about a 10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyu Railway Line, it's a popular stop-off for sightseeing. Driven by our desire to "create, eat, learn, and create memorable experiences," we offer a variety of hands-on programs that allow you to experience the region's food culture and traditional techniques with all five senses. Our menu offers a unique blend of food and culture, from cooking Yamanashi's regional specialties, such as "hoto" and "Yoshida udon," to craft experiences like indigo dyeing, and crafts using local ingredients, such as "suridane" (suridane paste) making, medicinal shichimi (seven spices), and "bracken mochi" (bracken starch with black honey). Our facility attracts a wide range of customers, from local Yamanashi families and school groups to tourists from all over Japan and even international visitors. We can accommodate children's independent research projects, family memories, couples' getaways, large group school trips, and employee training sessions. Our spacious classrooms can accommodate up to 80 people, and we can park up to three large buses, making us ideal for inbound tourists and rainy weather. All experiences are conducted entirely indoors, making them safe and convenient for all seasons and weather conditions. At Fujiya, we strive to provide memorable experiences that don't just involve seeing the sights, but also experiencing them. Our staff is dedicated to providing support to ensure everyone, from beginners to children and international guests, can enjoy their time at Fujiya. Experience the flavors and culture of Yamanashi with your own hands, all while enjoying a close-up view of Mt. Fuji.
Really enjoyed the soba making class, the instructions were shown to me visually. My sensei tried her best to explain in English which I appreciated as well as teach Japanese words.
At the end I managed to eat my soba according to my taste. It was presented as cold dipping noodles. Enjoyed the session, my sensei was lovely and will come again! Good for solo travellers.

At Fujiya, you can enjoy the authentic experience of hand-making local dishes such as Yamanashi Prefecture's famous "hoto" and "Yoshida udon" from scratch. The process of kneading, stretching, cutting, and simmering the dough with your own hands to create the traditional flavors rooted in the region is truly a "learning experience of food culture." This experience offers a special experience that can be enjoyed with all five senses, making it ideal not only as part of your sightseeing trip, but also for food education and independent research.
All experience plans come with thorough support so that even those with no cooking experience can enjoy themselves. We have staff who can speak basic English and a support system for parents and children so that children who are using a knife for the first time and overseas customers who are worried about the language barrier can participate with peace of mind. We focus on the "fun" rather than the "difficulty" of the experience, and we hope to provide a time that will put a smile on everyone's faces.
We can accommodate a wide range of reservations, from single participants to groups of up to 120 people. We have a large facility that can accommodate large groups of people at the same time, and a dedicated parking lot that can accommodate large buses, making it a flexible choice for school trips, corporate training, and tours to Japan. As it is completely indoors, you can rest assured that it is not affected by the weather. We can also propose experience programs based on the number of people and purpose, so please feel free to contact us.
