At the local cooking experience class [Fujiya], we are conducting an experience of making "hoto", which is a local dish of Yamanashi

Hoto is loved by many as a local dish of Yamanashi Few local foods are so popular, and it seems that "boiled rice in the morning, barley rice in the daytime, and pumpkin hoto in the evening" has long been the standard in daily life in rural Koshu. In 2007 Year it was selected as one of the "100 Best Local Cuisine of Agriculture, Mountains and Fishing Villages" sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, which has been passed down to agriculture, mountain and fishing villages all over Japan and is widely supported by the people.

Unlike regular noodles, hoto noodles do not need to be laid down. You can enjoy authentic handmade hoto making

The most attractive thing about the experience is that you can "hand-make" the hoto noodles yourself. The taste of the hoto you made yourself is exceptional, so please come hungry!

We recommend the experience of making chicken mochi and Abekawa mochi as a set.

In addition to the hoto making experience, you can also attach Yamanashi's B-class gourmet "bird motsu boiled making experience" and Shizuoka's representative "Abekawa mochi making experience" as a set. The hoto making experience itself takes about 45 minutes, but it takes about 10 minutes per person for boiled chicken motsu and about 5 minutes for Shingen mochi.
