This is a special experience of walking along a beautiful clear stream flowing from the vast beech forest of the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Site. It will be held in the Fujikoto River in Akita Prefecture. The river is so clean that you can see the bottom. You will not meet anyone else during the trek. You can enjoy a sense of privacy. You may encounter birds and fish. A guide will accompany you, so even if you are new to river trekking, you can feel at ease. If it gets hot, you can swim or jump in. Lunch (included in the tour price) is a bento box made with locally grown rice and wild vegetables. You will eat it by the side of the clear stream. It is a day where you can feel the untouched nature with your whole body. On rainy days, you can change to Shirakami Forest trekking. [Totou Sauna at the Foot of the World Heritage Shirakami Mountains] Fujisato Town is a idyllic town at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains. Although it is a small town with a population of less than 3,000, it boasts rich nature and delicious water. Would you like to enjoy a snow tent sauna in this quiet town? At the foot of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Heritage Site, this tent sauna uses the pure white snow that falls as a cold bath. "Yugi" in "Yugi Sauna" means "snow" in Akita dialect. We recommend the snow sauna surrounded by majestic mountains. Restrooms, restaurants, vending machines, and Yutoria hot spring resort facilities are also nearby, so even beginners to the outdoors can easily enjoy the sauna. We also have a special aroma “Totoi water” and a “handmade sauna hat”. "Totoi water" is an aromatic water with a secret scent made from the blessings of the mountains. We use mugwort leaves provided by Albion, which is very popular among women, and mugwort harvested at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains. Sprinkle "Totoi water" on the hot sauna stones with a ladle, and the refreshing scent of the forest will spread throughout the tent. The air is heated, and it also causes perspiration. The handmade sauna hat is an original sauna hat that uses domestic (Fujisato Town) wool. With this hat, you can enjoy a leisurely sauna while protecting your head from the heat. This is a hands-on activity where you play the local traditional culture "Kanayama Taiko" in beautiful nature. Would you like to be healed by the drums echoing in the countryside and mountains? Kanayama drums have been carefully handed down locally for the prosperity of Okuzo Kanayama, which flourished during the Nara period. It is characterized by making big drums resound in the mountains. The echoing sound penetrates your body. We will take photos and videos of the experience with your smartphone or camera. This is a pleasure-boat with an observation deck "Moriyoshimaru", travels between Taihei Lake and Komata Gorge. You can enjoy both the sightseeing boat of lake and an exploring around the unexplored nature! Taihei Lake is an artificial lake which was made according to the completion of 30km Moriyoshi Dam. It is crowded with the explorers of valley views and anglers during the season. It only takes about 15 minutes boat ride to arrive at Komata Gorge Pier. There is a 1.8km long promenade in Komata Gorge where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature of seasons. From the fresh green in spring to the deep green in summer, Komata Gorge fascinates people with its refreshing scenery worthy of the name of “hidden world”. Furthermore, the autumn leaves of Okumoriyoshi are so colorful that can be described as "embroidery".
