Casually! Fun! This is a program where you can experience the traditional Japanese culture of "martial arts" and "kendo"! Of course, you can experience the sport of kendo, but you can also experience the mind and spirit. The theme of the experience program is "Senshin", which means to remove the dirt and bad feelings from your mind and have a pure heart. Based on that theme, we have five programs such as "listen", "touch", "do", "watch" and "interact" that allow you to experience the spirit of martial arts and traditional Japanese culture through kendo. You will hear about the history of kendo, touch and wear kendo equipment, and actually do some striking. You will also watch a kendo match between high-ranking practitioners, and the program lasts for about three hours. There will also be free time for mutual exchanges and photography. The instructors are high-ranking practitioners with a 7th dan kendo instructor and a 6th dan kendo instructor, so you can learn real martial arts/kendo. Kintsugi is a repair technique in which cracks, chips, and other damaged parts of ceramics are glued together with lacquer and decorated with gold and other metal powder. It is also called Kintsukuroi. At our salon, we use simple lacquer instead of real lacquer, and we finish at a reasonable price. Tableware that holds a special meaning can be revived by Kintsugi, and upgraded by applying gold. We accept lessons and orders. The experience location is Minoh City, a city rich in nature in Hokusetsu, Osaka. 20 minutes by train from central Osaka Location: 10 minutes walk from Sakurai Station on the Hankyu Minoh Line, or at the Sakurai Station Cafe (At the cafe, we ask that each person order one drink) If a child of junior high school age or younger participates, a parent or guardian must apply and participate with them. Why not try writing characters with all your heart and soul using a large brush held in both hands, like the ones you only see on TV and in magazines? The characters you create as you run around barefoot on a piece of paper bigger than a tatami mat will be a lifelong memory! The instructor, calligrapher Mikami, has a father and mother who are also calligraphers, and has been familiar with calligraphy since childhood. Mikami is very creative and energetic. Not satisfied with ordinary calligraphy paper, he runs around freely on the large calligraphy paper with a large brush held in both hands, and the characters he creates with his whole body are soon becoming a specialty of Naganuma Town. He also performs at Naganuma Town's summer festival and sunset market, and sometimes collaborates with local musicians. This program was created not only to show people this fun, but also to let them experience it. Participants are first surprised by the weight of the brush filled with ink, and are very satisfied with the characters they write with all their heart, sweating. The written characters take time to dry, and there are limitations on where you can hang them. You may only be asked to take a photo in front of the work.
