Plan description

Kintsugi (gold repair) is a repair technique that uses lacquer to repair cracks, chips, and other damage to ceramics, and then decorates them with gold and other metal powders. It's also known as kintsukuroi (gold repair). Our salon uses simple lacquer instead of real lacquer, offering affordable repairs. Your treasured tableware can be revived through kintsugi and upgraded with gold. English recipes are also available. After kintsugi, your items will be suitable for carry-on use within two hours. They will be delivered in a protective container. The experience location is in the naturally rich Minoh City in Hokusetsu, Osaka. It's a five-minute train ride from the tourist destination of Minoh. Why not take a stroll empty-handed after sightseeing at the waterfalls and enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience? 20 minutes by train from central Osaka. Venue: 10 minutes walk from Sakurai Station on the Hankyu Minoh Line (we will pick you up at the station), or at the cafe in front of Sakurai Station (if you go to the cafe, we ask that each person order one drink). If children under junior high school age are participating, a parent or guardian must register and attend with them. Children are not allowed to attend alone.

Experience traditional Japanese culture in a casual setting

Normally, it takes several weeks to complete using real lacquer, but this workshop has been designed to allow the work to be completed in one day. What's more, by using brass powder instead of gold powder, it makes the experience more casual.

Participation is OK empty-handed

Kintsugi requires many tools, all of which will be prepared at our studio. You can choose your favorite vessel from several types. You can take your finished work home on the same day. It will be handed over in a safe container, so you can carry it on board the plane as is.

Near Osaka's tourist attractions

Minoh City is a place rich in nature and has many tourist attractions. Nearby are Minoh Falls and Katsuo-ji Temple, making it possible to efficiently tour the area in one day.

7歳ですと個人差が大きいのでお一人での参加はお断りしております。お子様の世話のできる大人も一緒に2人でお申込みください。割れたカップの持ち込みは可能ですが　割れ方によって難易度はずいぶん変わりますので　初心者には小さな欠けであれば可能です。
拝見してから判断して難しい様なら別の器で体験していただきます。
体験ですので本金ではないことをご理解くださってますね？
またレッスン日が限られておりますのでご旅行でしたら早めに日時ご相談ください。
