You can try out the dip pen with three different nibs: the G-pen, the Mapping pen, and the Saji-pen. Explore the unique drawing experiences each one offers. Japanese manga artists have skillfully created diverse lines by using dip pens. However, while these pens allow for various lines, they can be challenging for beginners due to their strong characteristics compared to markers. Why not try them out and see the difference for themselves? By the end of this course, you'll know traditional Japanese manga techniques.

Matsuda-sensei will teach you from the very first steps of manga production. He made his debut at Kodansha, Japan's second-largest publisher known for famous manga titles such as "Attack on Titan" "Tokyo Revengers" and "Sailor Moon", then drew weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly series for that company and others, and is a professional manga artist with exceptional mastery of the craft and many years of teaching in the manga department of the university in Kyoto.

1. Dip pen practices Draw various lines using the dip pen(G-pen, Mapping pen, Saji-pen)
2: Inking Try inking with the dip pen(You can ink sample drawings or draw yourself)
3: Beta works Paint black with a brush pen.
4: Effect lines Practice some lines, and draw the effect lines with the ruler.
5: Tones Choose three of the various tones and paste them on your drawing.
