You can experience the "Chanoyu" tea ceremony, a comprehensive art form of Japanese culture, in a traditional Kyoto townhouse, where a teacher will prepare the tea and you can also make the tea yourself. For this plan, you will come to Yumeyakata Gojo store, change into your kimono, and then move to the venue for the tea ceremony experience, Yumeyakata Oike Bettei, by yourself. As it takes 1.5 hours to dress and style your hair, if you arrive at 10:00, the tea ceremony experience will be from 12:00 to 13:00. After the tea ceremony experience, you can use the kimono as it is. Please return it to Yumeyakata Gojo store by 17:30.

The experience will be complemented by a short lesson on how to drink matcha tea according to Japanese tradition. For the rest of the day, feel free to wander the beautiful streets of the Asakusa district at your own pace until 5:30 PM, when you will return your kimono. If you choose the photo shoot option, a professional photographer will accompany you and show you the most photogenic spots around Sensoji Temple and the Sumida River. The session will last 60 minutes, and your photos will be sent to you for editing and download within a week.
