This is a training experience that condenses the essence of Shushin-ryu Iaijutsu martial arts, supervised by Iaijutsu master Machii Isao, who holds six Guinness World Records and is attracting attention around the world. You can learn the essence of Iaijutsu that is not just a "form" but leads to real combat, along with explanations of the structural theory of the sword and center of gravity manipulation. Instructions will be given by Machii himself or his disciples, so even beginners can experience it safely and carefully. Recommended for those who are interested in Iaijutsu and swordsmanship, and those who want to experience the essence of martial arts. Even if you only have a short time to experience the "real thing," your view of martial arts will change completely. It is a precious moment to experience the technique, theory, spirit, and soul of the samurai. Please step into the world of Machii Isao's martial arts and experience it with your eyes and body.
Holds six Guinness World Records! A samurai experience with a genuine orientation supervised by modern samurai Isao Machii. Get the legendary technique in your hands now. Modern samurai Isao Machii holds six Guinness World Records and has appeared in many media both in Japan and abroad. Here is a real samurai experience program supervised based on his overwhelming technique. The instruction is safe and careful by a master of Shushin-ryu Iaijutsu Heiho, whose head is Isao Machii, so even beginners can participate with confidence. This experience focuses on the structure of the sword and its original use, and is the only one in the world where you can learn real samurai techniques. By holding a real Japanese sword in your hands, you can feel the history and weight of the sword and learn how the samurai of old lived and fought. After wearing a kimono, learning the samurai etiquette, and mastering the basic sword techniques of the Japanese sword, you will practice Iai and swordsmanship. This experience, which allows you to learn the spirit of Bushido and traditional Japanese culture in depth, will bring you one step closer to becoming a real samurai.
Unlike modern iaido, which does not compete on the "elegance of form", Shushin-ryu iaido pursues iaido as a "martial art that can really be used". The movements, honed as a technique to defeat the enemy, are completely free of waste and are imbued with rationality based on the structural theory of the sword and bodily control. Experience iaido, which is not "for show" but "for use", in this training experience. It will be a time when you can touch the essence of martial arts, and your "view of the samurai" will change.
Aikido, which has spread around the world as a modern martial art, has been deeply influenced by swordsmanship and iaido, among the many ancient martial arts that its founder, Morihei Ueshiba, studied in his youth. The movement of the center of gravity and the distance that accompanies the action of drawing the sword (drawing the sword), as well as the "principle of the front" that controls the opponent's movement, are all common to iaido and kenjutsu, and are the basis of Aikido movements. In fact, the influence of iaido and kenjutsu on Aikido is clear, as the accuracy and the way the power is transmitted change dramatically just by adding the awareness of "slashing" to Aikido techniques. However, the important thing is that you cannot learn the truth of Aikido from any iaido or kenjutsu. It is no exaggeration to say that among those who currently practice iaido and kenjutsu, only Isao Machii can correctly speak about and practice the essence that is the origin of Aikido. By learning the principles of authentic Iai and Kenjutsu that he conveys, you will gain insight into the essence of Aikido and a deeper understanding of it as a martial art.
