The "Hitome Senbonzakura" cherry blossoms on the banks of the Shiroishi River, which runs through the center of Ogawara Town and Shibata Town in Shibata County, Miyagi Prefecture, stretch for 8km. The approximately 1,200 cherry tree saplings donated by Takayama Kaijiro in 1923 and 1927 still fascinate us today, some 100 years later. During the flowering season, the snow-capped Zao mountain range and the rows of cherry trees in full bloom are reflected in the Shiroishi River, creating an exquisite harmony that makes this a place that is one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots. For the first time this year, wedding photo shoots are now open for the first time at the "Hitome Senbonzakura" cherry blossoms on the banks of the Shiroishi River, a cherry blossom viewing spot that Miyagi is proud of!
