Your child's drawings and photos can also be made into cloth! ? Let's take a look at the ultra-high precision machines! Komatsu has long been a production center for jacquard textiles. In this production area, where division of labor and outsourced production were once the norm, the original cross jacquard company established its own design department 30 years ago and continues to pursue the possibilities of new textiles. In this spirit, the factory is currently operating state-of-the-art machines that can turn children's drawings and photographs into textiles using design technology and jacquard looms. During the tour through the GEMBA program, students will learn about the process used to create highly accurate textiles that are not prints, and can be mistaken for photographs or works of art.They will also be able to see hand looms, old-style jacquard looms, and cutting-edge jacquard looms and textiles. You can see, know and experience it.

What is jacquard weaving? You can actually weave and experience the complicated fabrics that occur with machines!

Many of you may have heard of jacquard weaving in terms of fashion. You can actually experience weaving with a hand-woven loom to see what kind of patterns you can make with a fabric that has the image of intersecting warp and weft threads. Please try weaving with your own hands and experience how the world of “Crane Returns” is evolving.
