Naohara Gyokusei is a master of Nanga painting who grew up on Awaji Island. He is also a Rinzai Obaku sect monk, and at Kokusei Zenji Temple, which he rebuilt, you can enjoy a beginner-friendly zazen experience and appreciate Gyokusei's friendly Nanga paintings that he personally painted. After the 60-minute zazen experience, you will listen to the current chief priest explain the Zen teachings contained in Gyokusei's works while drinking tea, then move to Minami Awaji City Takikawa Memorial Museum Gyokuseikan (5-minute walk) and view the diverse works of Naohara Gyokusei that are housed in the museum. This is a special experience that expresses the trinity of Nanga, haiku, and Zen, and allows you to feel the spirit of "kugazenichinyo" and reflect on yourself. Naohara Gyokusei is a master of Nanga painting who has ties to Awaji Island. Hello everyone! Welcome to Katori City! Today, let's enjoy the fun of nature and take a look into the mysterious world of Japanese honeybees together! "I want to eat delicious food and live happily in any era!" We moved from Tokyo and are looking forward to sharing our story of becoming self-sufficient and our life with nature. ### Experience Overview In this experience, you will look inside a Japanese honeybee hive in the open land of Katori City, Chiba Prefecture. It is easy for children to do. We hope you will feel the change of seasons through activities in nature. After that, you will enjoy making lip balm using Japanese honeybee beeswax indoors (bakery)! Natural beeswax is said to have moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and healing effects, and has various uses other than body care. After the experience, you can relax on the spacious wooden deck. It is a private tour that provides detailed lectures not only for those with SUP experience, but also for those who are trying SUP for the first time. After the war, the shipyards were reclaimed, and vast business towns, high-rise residential areas, large shopping malls, urban ropeways, and more were formed. In addition, the civil engineering heritage that formed the foundation of the port city of Yokohama is actively preserved and utilized, and you can enjoy a SUP tour while touring these places. We also recommend a SUP tour while viewing the world-famous Sakura. The Ooka River that connects to the port is a famous spot for Sakura. A Sakura SUP Tour on the Ooka River when the flowers are in full bloom will be a special experience.
