It was fun experience trying the Koto for the first time and it was definitely the highlight of my trip to Japan! If you are looking for a new experience and love Japanese traditional music, it is definitely worth visiting Pink Asakusa and trying out their Koto short class. With the help from the friendly staff at Pink Asakusa who are fluent in both Japanese and English, they were able translate everything the teacher was saying. Miyabi Sensei was also extremely talented & knowledgeable, and will answer questions you may have along the way during your time there! :D

Fish caught in the Nada area, south of Awaji Island, are eaten in sushi restaurants in Tokyo. You can board a fishing boat with a veteran fisherman who makes a living from fixed net fishing. He usually landes his catch at 15 locations a day, but on this tour you will visit one of them. It is a valuable experience to learn how fixed net fishing works, the secret of the deliciousness of the fish caught here, and the hardships they endured. You can also purchase the fish caught that day. You can board a fishing boat with the fisherman and observe fixed net fishing up close. When you arrive at the fishing ground where the fixed net is set, the fisherman will pull up the net called a box net with the fish caught in it. He uses a machine halfway, but at the end he pulls up the heavy rope by hand. Normally he does this work at 15 locations a day. After a while, you can hear trivia such as how to distinguish between male and female fish and the species of fish caught that day, the secret of their deliciousness, and the hardships they endured. Apparently, some of the requests are quite unusual, coming from affiliated aquariums who say, "If you catch this fish, please let us know!" After that, the fish return to port and are lifted into the tanks at the landing area. This is hard work, but it's a cool sight to see the fishermen smoothly unloading the catch. After the experience, you can also purchase the fish that were landed that day and go home. ■Experience Schedule10:00 Meet up (This may change depending on the tides on the day. In the oldest books in Japan, the Kojiki and the Nihon Shoki, it is written that the two ancestral gods Izanagi and Izanami created the land of Japan from Awaji Island, so it is called the "Island of Creation". In this retreat (tour), we will visit the sacred rocks and megaliths that are the objects of worship for the two gods. We will walk along the Izanagi Rock and mountain paths to visit megaliths such as Izanami Rock, which are not listed on tourist maps. It is a low mountain, so beginners to mountain walking are also OK. When you go through the narrow rock chamber of Izanami Rock, you will feel like you are being born through the birth canal. You can also look at the spectacular view and lie down on the megaliths, and feel the romance of the creation myths and ancient times while listening to the guide's deep and deep mythological mystery solving stories like Bura Tamori. Would you like to try dancing the mysterious and beautiful shrine maiden dance? Shrine maiden dance is passed down from generation to generation by shrine maidens at shrines. Shrine maiden dance is often performed at Shinto rituals and Shinto ceremonies, so I think many people have never seen it. Originally, it was said that the gods would descend to the shrine maiden who was dancing the shrine maiden dance and give them divine guidance. In other words, by dancing the shrine maiden dance, you can become one with the gods and nature. Shrine maiden dance is filled with the "feeling of respect for the gods" and "beautiful manners" that have been cherished by ancient Japanese people. For both Japanese and foreigners, it will be an opportunity to experience Japan's beautiful culture and learn about the spirituality that Japanese people have cherished. "Why do people find shrine maiden dance beautiful?" We will also look into the secret of its beauty. In this experience, a former professional shrine maiden instructor will carefully teach you the basics of shrine maiden dance. First, after changing into a shrine maiden costume, you will watch a shrine maiden dance performance by the instructor. Learn about the origin and history of shrine maiden dance and the dance, and actually dance to the solemn tunes of Kagura. Your experience at the popular Japanese culture experience cafe in Asakusa is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

How about a mountain bike in Hachimantai / Appi where you can feel the nature of the four seasons? The scenic Hachimantai / Appi area, which is typical of Tohoku, has broad-leaved trees such as beech, birch, and oak, and gentle hills that spread from the foot of the mountains. Why don't you enjoy the nature of each season with MTB, such as spring when the fresh green and refreshing breeze are comfortable, summer when the sky and sunlight through the trees are refreshing, and autumn where you can run leisurely while watching the autumn leaves! ?? The depth of bike control and the pleasure of speed. A sense of accomplishment that you can get with your own strength. Please fully feel the charm unique to mountain biking. Experienced guides will safely support children and the elderly. Experienced people can also experience full-scale downhill! !! Lunch time is also a special time.
We had originally booked the normal mountainbike tour, but upgrades to the electric one due to the heat. I would suggest that everyone take the electric version! It is a bit more expensive, but it makes for a fantastic experience whilst not overburdening yourself. The instructions were very clear. The guides were extraordinary: kind, patient and with a lot of humour. We're a family of 4, with two kids ages 11 and 13. We all enjoyed it and the guides made sure everyone could enjoy it. We enjoyed the ride, nature, everything!
