"Ko-Iga" is the highest peak of pottery in history, known as "exceptional beauty" in the world of tea ceremony, mainly during the Sengoku period, when Sen no Rikyu, Oda Nobunaga, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi were active, and the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Experience Awaji Iga making, a reproduction of the Ko-Iga making used in tea ceremony at that time, with one-on-one guidance from a craftsman who hand-made the largest six-tiered climbing kiln in Japan. Ko-Iga is fired at the world's highest firing temperature of 1400℃ for several days, which is unparalleled in the world, so the shape is distorted and sometimes it breaks when firewood is repeatedly hit against it, but the absolute presence and scenery that surpasses this are known as exceptional beauty. (*250℃-450℃ in a bonfire, 1500℃ in a blast furnace) Awaji Iga aims to revive Ko-Iga and values the invisible process and value, so it does not use modern tools such as burners and thermometers, or glazes that glassify the surface. During the Sengoku period, wars were taking place all over Japan, but no one really wanted war, and tea ceremonies served as a place for secret talks to avoid war. It is said that Ko-Iga was used as a special tool to hold a special tea ceremony, which could avoid war if successful, or lead to war if unsuccessful. At Tsurugi Kiln, you can experience the revival of Ko-Iga, which was used in tea ceremonies that determined history and people's lives and deaths, and the making of Awaji Iga pottery. *The actual experience is limited to the forming process. Just by living, people accumulate dirt and impurities at the end of each day. It would be nice if we could wash them off ourselves every day, but for busy modern people, it is not easy. Mount Koya, which spreads out in a mountain basin surrounded by peaks at an altitude of about 1,000m, is a sacred place of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism founded by Kobo Daishi Kukai 1,200 years ago. This plan involves climbing together to the top of Benten-dake, the watershed of Mount Koya, and performing a purification and purification prayer in front of the shrine. (Depending on the weather, etc., it may be performed at a different shrine.) A special human figure will be prepared. Usually, the Great Purification is performed at the end of June and the end of December, but for our purification and purification plan, a specialized prayer leader will be available all year round when visitors are in a good mood. We will offer our original incense amulet after praying for it. Why not spend a refreshing time with the goddess of water (Benzaiten)? This is an experiential workshop recommended for those who want to learn more about Mount Koya.

Nokogiriyama is known as a low-profile mountain on the Boso Peninsula. On its southern side is the grounds of Nippon-ji Temple, the imperial temple of Emperor Shomu, which will celebrate its 1,300th anniversary in 2025. This plan is a half-day tour to experience the charms of Nokogiriyama Nippon-ji Temple, starting from JR Yasuda Station, walking along the main approach to the temple and climbing Nokogiriyama from the mountain gate. Once inside the Nippon-ji Temple grounds, you can enjoy the mystical atmosphere of the tallest Buddha statue in Japan (as a seated statue and rock-carved Buddha), as well as the 1,500 arhat statues arranged on the mountainside. Climb the stairs to the top of the mountain, pass by the famous photo spots "Hell Peek" and "Hyakushaku Kannon", and then use the ropeway to return down the mountain.

You will learn how Iga ninjas trained at Akame Forty-Eight Waterfalls, where Momochi Tanba-no-kami trained. *Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a guardian to assist them. Ninja training involves climbing high walls, crossing unstable logs, climbing rope ladders, and other activities that can lead to injury if you are fooling around. Please be careful when training. Ninja training equipment is free to use, but please follow the rules and use them safely.

Guided tour around the mysterious cave "Funatsu womb tree shape" woven by nature! "The shape of a tree in the womb is a cave in which the remains of a burned tree trunk remain as a hollow after taking in a tree when lava flows down. The shape of the interior resembles a human rib." It was called "Otainai" and became an object of worship, and a religious act called "Tainai Meguri" came to be performed. People who believe in Mt. Fuji, which has been called "Fujiko" since the Edo period, are said to have purified themselves by going around the cave of "Funatsu Tainai" on the day before climbing Mt. Fuji, which is the object of worship. From the entrance inside Mutomuro Sengen Shrine, nestled in a sea of trees, you can see the Mother's Womb, where Konohana Sakuya Hime is enshrined, and Ninogi Mikoto. This is a trial course at Mountain Support Yamaya for those who want to start climbing mountains this year. We have prepared a special program that is limited to one group per day and allows you to enjoy Shizuoka tea with all five senses. The Higashiyama district, which produces tea that has been designated as a World Agricultural Heritage Site, is one of the highest quality tea producing areas in the prefecture, but in recent years there has been an increase in the number of dilapidated tea plantations in this area. In this plan, you will pick tea in a scenic tea plantation that has been renovated from a ruined tea plantation, and you will enjoy the picked tea with tempura or as a kaiseki meal with seasonal local ingredients. Also, as a fun activity before and after your meal, you can work up a sweat by climbing up to the top of Mt. Awagatake, the symbol of the area, for about 30 minutes. From the mountaintop terrace, you can see the large tea garden below, the Oi River, Suruga Bay, and the Izu Peninsula on the horizon. On clear days from autumn to winter, you can even see Mt. Fuji. After your meal, enjoy a sencha ceremony where you can brew delicious tea yourself using a teapot.
