We have prepared a special program that is limited to one group per day and allows you to enjoy Shizuoka tea with all five senses. The Higashiyama district, which produces tea that has been designated as a World Agricultural Heritage Site, is one of the highest quality tea producing areas in the prefecture, but in recent years there has been an increase in the number of dilapidated tea plantations in this area. In this plan, you will pick tea in a scenic tea plantation that has been renovated from a ruined tea plantation, and you will enjoy the picked tea with tempura or as a kaiseki meal with seasonal local ingredients. Also, as a fun activity before and after your meal, you can work up a sweat by climbing up to the top of Mt. Awagatake, the symbol of the area, for about 30 minutes. From the mountaintop terrace, you can see the large tea garden below, the Oi River, Suruga Bay, and the Izu Peninsula on the horizon. On clear days from autumn to winter, you can even see Mt. Fuji. After your meal, enjoy a sencha ceremony where you can brew delicious tea yourself using a teapot. Local staff and farmers will give you detailed instructions, so please try it at home! ~Procedure of the experience~ ① Gather at Higashiyama Ippukudokoro (10:00) ② Welcome tea and program information at local Higashiyama tea (about 20 minutes) ③ Tea picking experience at a ruined tea plantation halfway up Mt. Awagatake (about 30 minutes) ④ Walk It takes about 30 minutes to hike to the top of the mountain! ... Awa Shrine, Iwaza ... Take a short break at the finish line on the terrace at the top of Mt. Awagatake ... ⑤ It's finally time to eat on the terrace with a spectacular view (about 60 minutes) ⑥ After the meal, enjoy being taught how to brew delicious tea Tea time (approx. 30 minutes) ⑦ Transfer to Higashiyama Ippukudokoro by shuttle car, scheduled to disband around 2:00 p.m.
On days when the air is clear, you can enjoy kaiseki cuisine made with plenty of tea leaves and local seasonal ingredients on the terrace with a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and the Izu Peninsula.
The terrace, which will be the venue, will be reserved for private use only on Mondays, when it is closed. However, we are available for consultations on days other than Mondays.

Plan attractions
Enjoy tea picking at a tea plantation near the symbol "tea" of Mt. Awagatake! This is a tea plantation for visitors to try out, which was regenerated by local farmers from a field that had ceased production and had fallen into disrepair. From the tea plantation, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay.
A 30-minute hike from the tea plantation to the summit of Mt. Awagatake in a World Agricultural Heritage site. It takes about 30 minutes to climb the hiking trail. Enjoy it as a pre-meal exercise. Along the way, you can also observe rare flora and fauna, including endangered species.
Enjoy spectacular views and visit power spots at the summit of Mt. Awagatake, your hiking goal! Charge your energy at Iwaza, a group of megaliths in the primeval forest where it is said that gods once descended, and at the main shrine of Awawa Shrine. Awagatake World Agricultural Heritage Site Enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji from Chagusaba Terrace.
Enjoy kaiseki cuisine using locally grown tea leaves and seasonal ingredients! Enjoy authentic Kaiseki cuisine using seasonal Shizuoka ingredients on the terrace with a view of Mt. Fuji.
The chef will use the picked tea leaves to make freshly fried tempura. Tea tempura, a dish unique to teahouses. The tea tempura you picked yourself is exceptional!
After your meal, a tea professional will teach you how to brew delicious tea! If you know a few tricks, you can make tea that tastes even better. Please try it at home!
