Each person will dissect one chicken. (Staff will support children) Meat is eating the meat of a living animal. The meat we eat every day is originally a living creature. It's a common thing, but in today's world where eating meat is a given, the concept that meat = life tends to become weak. By dissect it with your own hands, you can learn about the process of turning a living creature into meat. As a way to educate children about food and as a stepping stone for those aiming to obtain a hunting license, you will dissect and cook while thinking about "life". For lunch, we will cook fresh eggs from a poultry farmer that morning. *Due to the Food Sanitation Act, we will ask for some help with cooking. ~~ ...The meeting place is a 1-minute walk from the meeting place. After a tour of the facilities, we will introduce ourselves and the lesson will begin. The talk will cover topics such as the chickens whose lives will soon be taken and rural life in the local Akiruno Akigawa Valley. There will be a Q&A session and discussion among participants. 12:30~ Lunch. The lunch will use eggs laid that morning at the chicken farm where the chickens to be slaughtered on the day were sourced, and in accordance with the Food Sanitation Act, we will ask for your help with some of the work. 13:30~ Chicken slaughter and butchering.
