The Nikko Natural Science Museum is located near Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji, and in addition to introducing nature and history, it also conducts a wide range of activities such as nature information, information on hiking trails, and holding nature experience events as a local information transmission base. The museum has a natural exhibition room, a humanities exhibition room, a 200-seat hall that introduces Oku-Nikko in movies, and regularly holds self-organized exhibitions on the themes of nature and tourism. We also operate the British-Italian Embassy Villa Memorial Park, Chuzenji Lakeside Boathouse, Akanuma Nature Information Center, and manage the luck of low-emission buses. In addition, 10 nature guides (nature commentators) are enrolled in our museum, and we are conducting tours to experience the nature of Oku-Nikko throughout the year. 家族で参加しました。初めての戦場ヶ原で、初めての冬のウォーキング、装備も何もない状態での参加でしたが、靴や滑り止め、双眼鏡もレンタルできて、気持ち良く歩くことができました。歩く距離はそれほど長くないのですが、見どころを聞いたり小鳥を探したり植物のことを教わったりしながらたっぷり楽しむことができました。目の前に戦場ヶ原の景色が広がった時は感動でした。
優しくて物知りなガイドさんと、気さくなガイドさんのお2人を今日はたまたま貸切の状態で、とても素敵な時間を過ごせました。
チェーン付きの靴や双眼鏡も貸していただけました。
この日は吹雪いていて、戦場ヶ原の開けた所では、体感マイナス10度以下の風が時折り吹いていたものの、都会で過ごしてる日々からすると、私は物凄〜く気持ちが良かったです。笑
妻は頬っぺが寒かったようなので、ネックウォーマーなど持って行くと良いかなと思います。
その日毎のバードウォッチングも楽しめますし、私が気になっていた木の生態なども気さくに教えていただけて、時間が過ぎるのがあっという間でした。笑
人数も少なかったためか、私が気になっていることにすぐに気づいて教えて頂けたのは本当に幸せだったなと思いました。

絶好の？冬日和でしたが、野鳥を始めとする様々な自然物に出会うことができ、我々としても楽しい活動となりました。このツアーを通して、戦場ヶ原の自然を体感してして頂けたのであれば幸いです。
防寒対策につきましても今後の案内やレンタル品の参考にさせていただきたいと思います。

素晴らしい青空の戦場ヶ原の下で
ベテランガイドさんのお陰で
私だけでは到底出会えない沢山の珍しい鳥たちに会うことが出来ました！
体重５グラムという日本最小の鳥のキクイタダキ、
瞼を閉じて白目を見せる特徴のあるカワガラス、
光を反射して白く輝く羽を見せてくれたカラス
など私にとってとても貴重な写真を撮ることが出来ました！

冬の戦場ヶ原でキクイタダキの姿は時々見かけますが、今回のような出方は中々にラッキーでした。お送りいただいた写真はキクイタダキの可愛さがばっちりで見るだけでとても幸せになる写真ですね、ありがとうございます。
この冬は「特別珍しい鳥もいない」「なんだか種類も少ない」という感じなのか野鳥カメラマンがいつもより少なかったのですが、そんな冬だって歩けば何かしら楽しみがありますね。
…という喜びを探しに出かけるこのツアー、春以降も開催予定ですのでまたご参加ください。お待ちしております。

バードウォッチングは、この季節この場所にいるであろう鳥でも、出会えないことも多いですね。大型であまり移動もしない水鳥はコンスタントに出会えますが、それ以外は飛び回っているので、偶然に出会う感じですよね。出会うと言っても、見つけないとならない。
今回、最後の最後にベニヒワに出会えましたが、出会えたのは、やはりガイドさんのおかげ。かすかな鳴き声に気づき、さっと見つけて教えていただきました。自分だけでは、スルーしてしまったでしょう。
これもバードウォッチング教室ならではです。

野鳥との出会いは歩けば歩くほど、回数を重ねれば重ねるほどチャンスが増える感じですが、今回はまさにそれが出た濃く出た印象です。
毎回同じようで顔ぶれも行動も変化して飽きない野鳥観察の面白さ、またご一緒させていただければ幸いです。

日光には定期的に旅行しており、低公害バスで千手ヶ浜などをハイキングしたことはあったのですが、別の方法で日光の自然を満喫したくこのコースを申し込みました。
良かった点は
・自転車に付いているナビに沿って自分たちだけで進んでいくので、自分の体力に合わせて進めること
・無料のコーヒーセットを貸し出して下さり、休憩時間を満喫出来たこと
・電動アシスト自転車なのでキツい上り坂もスイスイ行けること
・ヘルメットなども全て貸し出してくださるので準備が少なくて済むこと
・最初に乗り方や機材の使い方の丁寧なレクチャー、試し運転などをさせて下さるので不安な事無くスタート出来たこと
今回の目当てはクリンソウの写真を撮ることでもあったのですが、低公害バスと比べて時刻表を気にすることなく写真を撮れたのも良かったです。
注意点としてはこのコース中には飲食店がないので事前にお菓子やお弁当など買っておく方が良いです。事前に飲食店が無いのは教えて頂いていたので駅前でプリン買ったり菓子パンを持っていき、貸して下さったコーヒーセットでティータイムしました。
(ゴミは全て持ち帰りなので食べ終わったら小さくなるものが良いかもしれません)
体力がない＆地図を読むのが苦手な私でも電動アシスト自転車と付属のナビで気軽に参加出来ることが分かったので、また別の季節や別のコースでも参加したいです！

Although I am originally from Nikko City, when I was just starting out, I was shocked to find out that I didn't know anything about the local area. After that, I became addicted to mountain climbing through various encounters, and began to go on expeditions not only to the mountains of Nikko, but also to the Northern Alps and other mountain regions.
