Guest user

Guest user

Guest user

  • Morita(モリタサン) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:Good at mountaineering and trekking. Let's enjoy not only snowshoes but also cross-country skiing! / More than 20 years if you notice

Although I am originally from Nikko City, I was shocked when I first started out and realized I knew nothing about the local area, and that's how I got to where I am today. After that, I had many different encounters and got hooked on mountain climbing, and began to explore not only the mountains of Nikko, but also the Northern Alps and other mountain ranges. My favorite mountains in the Nikko mountain range are Nikko-Shiraneyama and Taroyama. I particularly love the view looking back at Oku-Nikko from around Shiraneyama during the snowy season. Nikko has many worthwhile mountains to climb, including Nikko-Shiraneyama and Nantaiyama, which are both listed as one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan, and many hiking trails with great changes of scenery. Let's go out and enjoy it together!! • Keisuke(ケースケ) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:In addition to observing nature such as wild birds and hiking the main route of Oku-Nikko such as Battlefield Gahara, he is also in charge of tours dealing with nature and history in slightly unusual places.

I started working as a guide in Oku-Nikko in 2001 after wandering around there since 1989. Including my experience before that, I have been a guide for over 20 years. I am a "nature observer" who is interested in almost anything that moves, and I will be sharing the fascinating nature of Oku-Nikko through the eyes of wild birds and amphibians in particular. Customers who have guided me in the past have given me the rating of "soothing" (really?!) Registered guide of the Nikko National Park Nature Guide Association Member of the Nikko Nature Guide Council Certified in Wilderness Advanced First Aid Completed Leave No Trace Level 1 instructor training course

  • Anyway(トモアキ) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:Worked since April 2013. In addition to "royal roads" such as trekking to light mountain climbing and snowshoe hiking in the Okunikko area, he is also in charge of insect observation meetings, night hikes, slide lectures, etc.

Originally from Kanagawa Prefecture, he has been living in Nikko since joining the company. When he was 4 years old, he discovered a seven-spotted ladybug in his grandparents' tangerine orchard in Higashiizu, which sparked his interest in insects, and he studied entomology in college. If you see him grinning at the sight of an insect, just ask him, "Are those insects interesting?" He'll tell you! (laughs)... This may seem all about insects, but he usually guides you through the various parts of Oku-Nikko in all four seasons, providing a wide range of explanations and experiences. His weakness is his fear of heights. He has never been able to overcome this... • Kyon Kyon(キョンキョン) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:Since April 2016, we have been providing a wide range of guides from easy hiking to long-course light trekking and snowshoeing in winter in the Okunikko area centered on Senjogahara.

Perhaps it's because I studied the ecology of living things at university, or perhaps it's just my innate nature, but I like to ask myself "why?" and "how?" when I see the appearance and behavior of living things. Why are new branches red? How was this lake formed? Every time I encounter a question, think about it, and search for an answer, I truly feel the saying "nature is a teacher." I work hard every day to help my guests realize the depth of the great nature of Oku-Nikko, which is both my field of activity and my teacher, and the fun of learning about it through the five senses and through thinking and researching. Come look and think with me, and sometimes just relax and enjoy nature to the fullest. Registered guide of the Nikko National Park Nature Guide Association Member of the Nikko Nature Guide Council Certified in Wilderness Advanced First Aid Completed Leave No Trace Level 1 instructor course Certified Nature Guide Stage II by the Japan Mountain Guides Association

  • Otetsu(オテツ) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:Worked from April 2021. Mainly responsible for hiking guides on standard courses around Senjogahara.

Born in Itabashi Ward, Tokyo. I like to observe the small plants that live quietly in the city while taking a walk, and before I knew it, I also loved spending time in nature. I will do my best to guide you so that you can enjoy the great nature of Oku-Nikko with everyone, while paying attention to the small world in the wide nature, such as your feet and shadows that you usually do not care about (I am a little afraid of insects...). To do. Nikko National Park Nature Guide Association Registered Guide

  • Shibu-chan(シブチャン) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:Worked from April 2021. Mainly responsible for hiking guides on standard courses around Senjogahara.

Born in Niigata prefecture. Originally an indoor person who likes reading manga and books. By chance, I fell in love with the charm of nature (especially plants), and have continued to this day. I also like the beautiful flowering season, but I also really like observing the differences in the shape and dispersal of seeds depending on the plant. The nature of Oku-Nikko is full of surprises every day! I would like to guide you while feeling "interesting!", "fun!", and "I see!" together with everyone. Nikko National Park Nature Guide Association Registered Guide

  • Shogo(ショゴ) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:Worked from April 2022. Mainly in charge of hiking guides on standard courses around Senjogahara.

I am originally from Tochigi Prefecture. I especially love aquatic creatures, and I run around in nature every day in search of the thrill of encountering them. I am still learning, but I would like to share with you the thrill of encountering them in the great outdoors of Oku-Nikko. Registered guide of the Nikko National Park Nature Guide Association

  • Suzumu(スズムー) Assigned events/Years of experience, etc.:Worked from April 2022. Mainly in charge of hiking guides on standard courses around Senjogahara.

I am originally from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Since I was little, I have loved nature and physical activity. I go hiking and take pictures of wild animals, and I live a nature-centered life every day. I would like to learn more about Oku-Nikko and enjoy its nature with everyone.
