It was the perfect accomplishment of a lifetime dream; to one day train in martial arts in Japan. it was a real honor to train with master Isao Machii. This was a really fun and sympathic moment, as aside titles, he still is humble and very kind to everyone interested in his art. This course requires focus; you don't need to be an expert beforehand but you still hold a weapon. It still is very safe and reassuring as he knows how to guide you in doing good. Thank you so much for this very unique moment ! This was one of the best moment I spent in Japan; it will remain as a cherished memory.

Why not try painting an auspicious papier-mâché doll with your own original design at the popular Japanese culture experience cafe in Asakusa? Papier-mâché is a doll made by creating a frame out of wood and pasting washi paper on it. It originally originated in China, but is said to have been introduced to Japan during the Heian period. There are many different shapes, but many of them are in the shape of animals, and they have become treasured as lucky charms. First, choose your favorite plain body. Once you have decided on the body, use your imagination and paint your ideas with paint. Our staff will support you, so even beginners can have fun creating. Papier-mâché dolls are hollow and very light, so they are very popular as travel souvenirs. [Types of bodies to choose from] ▶ Daruma dolls "Daruma dolls" have a rounded shape and the fact that they "get up no matter how many times they fall down," and they have been treasured as talismans and lucky charms since ancient times. Papier-mâché daruma dolls are used for all kinds of wishes, such as warding off evil, making the family happy, and making wishes come true, so they are used for prosperity in business and winning. ▶Lucky catsLucky cats used to be a lucky charm for sericulture because they exterminate mice that eat crops and silkworms, but since sericulture has declined, they have come to be seen as a lucky charm for business prosperity. There is a theory that lucky cats were originally made using the "Imado ware" pottery technique that was produced around Imado-cho in Asakusa. *There are various theories*Depending on the stock situation, we may not be able to provide the body you want.

A trip around the mystical Kumamoto and TakachihoDeepen the charm of Kumamoto and Takachiho and start a journey full of mysticism and natural wonders. First, head to Kamishi-Kimi Kumano-za, famous for its pilgrimage route decorated with nearly 100 lanterns, as if you were lost in a dream world. Along the way, you will find Kuroto-iwa, a giant wind tunnel protruding from Onihachi, a symbol of faith that overcomes difficulties. The shrine's sacred tree, Nagi, is also an ideal place to make a wish, as it symbolizes matchmaking and business prosperity. Next, head to Amanoiwato Shrine and experience the mystical charm of Japanese mythology. Amanoiwato Shrine is an ancient sacred place that enshrines Amaterasu Omikami. The Tenyasu River within the shrine grounds was originally a popular place to make wishes by stacking stones, signifying that wishes would be fulfilled and good fortune would come. In addition to the sacred pilgrimage of worshippers, you can also experience a traditional blessing ceremony. Afterwards, explore Takachiho Gorge, a beautiful valley formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. The cliffs towering on both sides of the valley and the Manai Falls give a sense of the majestic nature. On the approximately 1 km promenade, you can leisurely stroll through unique scenery such as the "Kihachi Power Stone" and three arch bridges from different eras (Shinbashi Bridge, Showa Bridge, and Shinto Takachiho Bridge). In particular, the 70 m high Sennin no Byobu Rock has a beauty like a natural folding screen. Each attraction has its own history and natural scenery, allowing you to feel the depth of Japanese culture and the splendor of natural scenery.
