You will spend a whole day making a small scale attached to the Japanese sword. The material is the same as the Japanese sword, and the world's highest grade iron (tamahagane) is used. They stitched several layers of cloth carefully stitch by stitch. Sashiko is a technique that was born from this and nowadays become one of traditional handicraft which was born from taking good care of things and the wisdom of life. At that time, there were no schools, and Sashiko was passed down from parent to child. Therefore, there is not just one technique, but multiple techniques. The repair method is the same. Here we would like to introduce some of the sashiko mending and darning techniques. Please use it for various purposes such as repairing precious clothes, making use of leftover cloth, and making art. You can take the coaster away. Please enjoy the stitching!!

You can choose from 18 types of glaze (color) within the experience fee, and your work will be finished after firing after completion. It will take about two months to complete. Once the firing is complete, you can pick up your work at the classroom, or you can have it delivered to your home for an additional shipping fee. For those who want to make larger works or multiple pieces, you can add clay on the day (from 1,100 yen per kg). Up to 8 people can experience the experience at the same time, so it's perfect for events with friends or colleagues. This plan includes visiting a traditional Japanese townhouse, "Machiya," and participating in a tea ceremony in Kyoto wearing traditional costumes. First, after arriving, you will be quickly dressed in a kimono made of real silk. After that, you will be guided around the townhouse built in the Meiji period. Enjoy tea while listening to an explanation about the tea ceremony in the tea room.
