The natural monument Oshino Hakkai is a spring-fed pond whose source is the underground water of Mt. Fuji. Oshino Hakkai, which has a history and legend of being an ancient sacred site of Fuji worship and a place of purification for Fuji pilgrims, and a beautiful waterscape with the Mt. Fuji region as a backdrop, has been recognized as a part of the World Heritage site of Mt. Fuji. Carp swim in the spring-fed pond, and the high transparency of the water reflects the fantastic view of carp swimming in the sky. Its beauty is appreciated around the world, and there are tourists from not only Japan but also overseas who make a special trip to visit.
