*All my classes will be private until the corona converges. (We will change the number of participants after booking.) In this class, you can experience the basics of the tea ceremony and how to make matcha. Before guiding your friends from overseas, how about learning a little Japanese cultural keywords? It is sure to be a fun opportunity for people who want to test their English conversation skills and participate with people from overseas. (Please inquire in advance if there are any reservations from overseas customers for your desired schedule) Me (Omotesenke school professor) or my husband (both Omotesenke school and Urasenke school certificates) After enjoying the tea prepared by the chef, you can make your own tea and enjoy it. If you are with friends or family, it will be double the fun if you eat together. In our classroom, you can take a seat and draw hot water from the kettle to make the rice. It's not just an experience where everyone sits in the audience and stirs together with a bamboo whisk. I would like you to feel the real texture and weight of each small tool. I was born in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, and I am a qualified teacher of the Omotesenke school who still lives in Nakagyo Ward. Her husband is a descendant of Ihei Ito, who developed somei-yoshino, a cherry blossom variety that is world-famous as the national flower of Japan, at the request of Yoshimune, the eighth shogun of the Tokugawa family. In our classroom, in addition to the antiques given to us by various people and the tea bowls we collected ourselves, we also use old ones given to us by family members. Since sitting in the seiza style puts a lot of strain on the legs, we also offer an experience using a table and chairs called the ryurei style. If you tell us when you make a reservation, even children, the elderly, and people with concerns about their feet and knees can participate with peace of mind. I think there may be cases such as "I learned it a long time ago, but I somehow forgot it", "I don't understand it even if I read a book", "I don't have time to continue learning". Would you like to experience it when it's like that? After the experience, be sure to stop by the Tsukigama and numerous tea ceremonies that can be found throughout Kyoto. I'm sure there will be new discoveries and fun. We can accommodate a large number of people on school trips, family trips, training trips, etc. Our classroom is a member of the Kyoto City Tourism Association. If you have any questions about the detailed etiquette of the tea ceremony or have any questions, please feel free to ask. (Note) *You are free to take pictures before and after the class. *Please refrain from taking photos and videos during the instructor's demonstration.

The world's most dangerous (?) Tea room "Takasugi-an" is located on a tree with a height of 6m. A pyramid-like tea room buried in the basement, "Hikusugi-an". And the "flying mud boat" that is hung by a cable and floats in the air. Near Suwa Taisha Shrine in Chino City, there is a strange building that you will never forget once you see it. Its true identity is the tea room of Terunobu Fujimori, an architect known worldwide for his original architecture. With special permission from Dr. Fujimori, this is a special program only for a trip where you can make tea by putting it inside the "tea room" that you can't normally enter. Along with an English-speaking guide, first of all, I went around the Suwa Taisha Maemiya, which is the origin of Mr. Fujimori's idea, and realized the "feelings for nature" that are constantly transmitted to this area. Then, after visiting the first building built by Professor Fujimori, "Jinchokan Moriya Historical Museum," we will climb the "Flying Mud Boat" and "Takasugi-an" to see the inside. In addition, you can experience making matcha while being taught by a local teahouse in "Hikusugi-an". 5 minutes by taxi from JR Chino Station. ~ Flow of the day ~ ① Worship at Suwa Taisha Maemiya: Tour started. First of all, I would like to introduce you to the origin of the idea of Professor Terunobu Fujimori, the front shrine of Suwa Taisha Kamisha. ② Walking: Walking on the ancient road behind the front shrine. ③ Visit to Jinchōkan Moriya Historical Museum: We will guide you to Jinchōkan Moriya Historical Museum (the first building built by Terunobu Fujimori). ④ Tour of Tea Room County: Visit three "Fujimori Tea Room". The guide will guide you inside and explain. 1) Climb the ladder to the inside of the "flying mud boat". 2) Climb the ladder to the inside of "Takasugi-an". 3) To the inside of the pitch-black "Hikusugi-an". After experiencing the darkness for a while, I opened the roof. I feel the brightness of the sky. ⑤ Tea experience: In Hikusugi-an, entertain with a simple “Matcha experience” by a local tea shop.
