Plan description

This program offers an opportunity to experience Japanese history, culture, and art in depth. You will experience a traditional Japanese culture workshop in a large hall that is a nationally registered tangible cultural property in a historic post town. In the process of creating a work of art with your own hands using traditional techniques and materials, you will come into contact with Japanese aesthetic sense and the spirit of crafts. Enjoy a special time experiencing traditional Japanese culture and savoring the joy of handmade items. (Japanese kite making, reed brush making, matcha experience, Japanese binding, tsumami zaiku, mizuhiki zaiku, etc.)
