Plan description

* All my classes will be offered privately until the corona converges. (The capacity will be changed after making a reservation.)

Lessons will be held in a Japanese-style room on the 2nd floor of Machiya at 140 Year.
In this class, you can experience the basics of tea ceremony and how to make matcha. During the experience, you can wear a two-part kimono at option. (* Please contact us in advance when making a reservation.) Female will also make a simple hair arrangement, so we hope it will be useful for Instagram on your trip.

How about learning a few keywords of Japanese culture before guiding your friends from overseas?
There is no doubt that it will be a fun opportunity for those who want to test their English conversation skills and want to participate with people from overseas.
(Please contact us in advance if you have a reservation for overseas customers at Dates)

After having the tea made by me (Professor Omotesenke style) or my husband (who has obtained both Omotesenke style and Urasenke style diplomas), make your own tea and enjoy it. receive.
If you are with friends or family, it will be more fun to have them with each other.
In our classroom, you can sit down and draw hot water from the kettle to turn it on. It's not just an experience of sitting in the audience and stirring together with a chasen. We want you to feel the real touch and weight of each small tool.

I was born in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, and am a qualified teacher of the Omotesenke style who still lives in Nakagyo Ward. Her husband is a descendant of "Ibei Ito" who developed "Somei Yoshino", a cherry blossom variety famous in the world as the national flower of Japan, at the request of Yoshimune, the eighth shogun of the Tokugawa family. In our classroom, in addition to antiques received from various people and bowls collected by ourselves, we also use old ones handed over from our families.

Seiza is very stressful on the legs, so we also offer an experience using tables and chairs called a ritual ceremony. If you tell us at the time of booking, you can participate with confidence even if you are a child, close to Year, or have anxiety about your feet or knees.

There may be cases such as "I was unraveled a long time ago, but I forgot something", "I don't understand even if I read a book", or "I don't have time to continue learning".
Why don't you experience it at such time?
After the experience, be sure to stop by the moon pots and numerous teahouses around Kyoto. I'm sure there will be new discoveries and fun.
It also supports large Number of participants for school trips, family trips, study trips, etc.
Our classroom is a member of Kyoto City Tourism Association. If you have any questions about the detailed etiquette of the tea ceremony, please ask.
(please note)
* You can take pictures before and after the class.
* Please refrain from taking photos and videos during the lecturer's demonstration.

You can rent a two-part kimono for free! With hair arrangement!

In our classroom, you can experience the tea ceremony in a two-part, comfortable kimono. The current kimono is a style established in the Edo period, and we have selected an old-fashioned style suitable for the ancient city of Kyoto. We will also arrange a simple hair.

The tea used is made by Uji, and the dried sweets are made by Wasanbon, which was ordered from Takamatsu.

We would like you to take lessons that are particular about the materials. Matcha made in Kyoto and Uji as well as tea. We serve various Japanese sweets from local Kyoto according to the season. We will also explain the shapes and colors that change with the seasons.

Small group semi-private lessons!

Please choose a seiza on tatami mats or a ritual ceremony on a chair. Please let us know when you apply.
