Electric cycling and exploring unexplored areas at a hidden spot just over an hour west of Shinjuku! A local guide will take you on a special route through the scenery of nature and Satoyama, which is hard to believe that you are in Tokyo. With the help of an electric assist, you can easily climb the slope, encounter a huge tree, greet the fish swimming in the clear stream, throw stones in the river, take a break on the wooden deck overlooking the valley, and buy some local sweets. This is a fulfilling tour where you can enjoy the beauty of the valley, nature, and hidden spots that you won't believe are in Tokyo, as if they were attractions. For lunch, you can enjoy a special Cuban sandwich lunch box while relaxing on an outdoor chair in the valley (canyon chairing experience) (both the chairing and lunch box are included in the price). Enjoy the luxury of sitting by the water, listening to the sound of the water, and doing nothing. The highlight of the afternoon tour is a river trekking experience where you wear waterproof clothing to keep your feet dry and walk through a secret valley stream to feel like an explorer and visit a hidden waterfall in Tokyo! Participants must be 135cm tall or above, and can be enjoyed by friends or family. After river trekking, we will run along the river and return to the back mountain base, and the tour will end... If you wish, you can use the rental bicycle as is and move around freely, so you can split up with the guide and go further through the countryside and valley scenery, and even aim for a hot spring footbath. (We will give you a map and explain it so you don't get lost.)Meet and dissolve at the Tokyo Urayama Base, right in front of Musashi Itsukaichi Station. Hinohara Village is the only village on land in Tokyo. Deep inside the village, on a ridge well over 700m above sea level, lies the old house "Kyu Kobayashi Family Residence". Built in the mid-Edo period (more than 320 years ago), this mountain house is literally an "old house in the sky". This tour, which takes you there by mountain monorail that goes straight up a super steep slope of nearly 45 degrees, is an extremely extraordinary experience that will leave a deep impression on your memory, both geographically and historically, as well as physically. The tour meets at the Tokyo Back Mountain Base in front of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, and includes transportation to the site by private car. *Hinohara Village has been designated as a national ecotourism promotion area, and as an exception, transportation to the ecotour site by car is permitted. (Your accompanying guide, Jinken, is a certified eco-tour guide for Hinode Village.) For lunch, you will be served at the Kobayashi Family House, with a lunchbox of light snacks (Cuban sandwiches) made specially for the Tokyo Urayama Base, and coffee brewed with water that participants themselves will have drawn from a special spring in the area. After experiencing the old mountain house, we will move on to another highlight of the day. We will stop at Kanoto Rock, a power spot known only to those in the know, and walk along the valley using chains. Here, too, you can experience a part of the local mountain worship and lifestyle culture. On the way back, we will cross a suspension bridge over the valley just beyond the Akigawa River from the village and enjoy a foot bath at a popular local hot spring. Once your feet are warm, we will head to a local cafe renovated from an old house, recommended by our guide (Jinken). We will take a break at CAFE POUND, the most popular cafe in the area, renovated from a Showa-era house by the owner himself. A private car will pick you up from the station, and you will be accompanied by a Hinode Village certified eco-tour guide. It will be a very fulfilling day where you can experience the lifestyle and culture of a mountain village. This is a premium tour with a capacity of only 6 people. (Participation is possible from one person. However, the minimum number of participants for the tour is 2 people.)

This is a 60-minute nature walk in Satoyama, where you can experience nature with all five senses and pick edible wildflowers while hiking through beautiful Satoyama. Nearby are Yamagami Dam, Lake Tenpai, Chikushino City General Park, Mt. If necessary, I can give advice on how to spend the afternoon. Let's make a herb ball using seasonal wild grass or make a wild grass lunch. Please select when making a reservation. The scent of wild grass at the moment of making is transmitted from the nose to the brain, and the green healing spreads throughout the body. In both cases, we use plenty of satoyama herbs. It is 180 minutes that can be fully enjoyed by both parents and children and adults alone. 〜In the case of Satoyama herb ball workshop〜Making herb balls using satoyama herbs that have been picked. Firmly harden a large amount of herbs into a ball. We will also give a lecture on how to use the herb balls you made. Once made, the herb ball can be used repeatedly at home for about a week. Wazuka-cho, Kyoto Prefecture, is the main producing area of Uji tea, and it is also known as the "chagenkyo" because of the beauty of its tea plantations. In Wazuka Town, a guided tea plantation walk for about 1 hour. The scenery that you can see while walking is definitely on Instagram ☆ After having enjoyed the story about tea with such scenery, we will carefully brew the Uji tea produced in Wazuka, which is recommended at that time. You'll be amazed at the scent and taste. Please enjoy it with a Japanese-style confectionery shop made in Wazuka Town.

The "Sekida Mountains" where the Shinetsu Trail extends is Satoyama. Do you know about Shinetsu-Trail , north part of Nagano prefecture ?The Sekida Mountain ridges are one of the heaviest snowfall areas in the world. It is along the ridgeline of a forested area at an altitude of about1,000m.From early June to November you are able to walk the trail, as all the snow has melted.In early summer, the trail is beautiful with fresh green leaves and in late autumn as the days get colder, the leaves turn stunning colors.Currently, the trail has 6 Individual sections each between 8~12km. It takes approximately 6~7 hours to hike one section.Sections 1~6 total about 80km. Later this year, 4 new sections (7~10) will be opened making the trail 110km from start to finish.I plan to hike the entire trail, sections 1~10 before the first snow fall.Reasonable accommodation is available if you would like to stay overnight, and I can help with those arrangements if needed, so please feel free to ask.This is a serious hike, so please be certain of your fitness, capability, a nd equipment.If you are interested, or have any questions at all about anything, do not hesitate to contact me directly.
