Wazuka-cho, Kyoto Prefecture, is the main producing area of Uji tea, and it is also known as the "chagenkyo" because of the beauty of its tea plantations. In Wazuka Town, a guided tea plantation walk for about 1 hour.

After having enjoyed the story about tea with such scenery, we will carefully brew the Uji tea produced in Wazuka, which is recommended at that time. You'll be amazed at the scent and taste.

The tea plantations that cover the entire town are called "mountain-nari" tea plantations, and you can enjoy the scenery unique to Wazuka Town. Wazuka Town is also designated as a "Japan Heritage" and "Kyoto Prefecture Landscape Asset No. 1" and is a member of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Japan" Union.
The history of tea in Wazuka-cho goes back to the Kamakura era. Today, it produces about 40% of Uji tea produced in Kyoto Prefecture, and is known as one of the most famous teas in Japan because of its high quality. Please enjoy the aroma and umami created by this unique terrain.
