Let's start a beautiful journey today Noboribetsu (about 60 minutes) In the ruins of a volcano in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, there remains a grassy area with a diameter of about 450 meters formed about 10,000 years ago. Noboribetsu Jigokudani got its name because it smells of sulfur and looks like you are in hell. Oyunuma is the remains of a crater formed when Hiyoriyama erupted, and sulfur springs at about 130 degrees gush out from the bottom of the pond, which is the source of Noboribetsu's main hot spring inns. There is an observation deck here where you can see the steaming lake right in front of you, and you can also walk around and experience the lake up close. As you walk around the lake, you can smell the sulfur, and you can see the hot springs that are always smoking and bubbling, and the yellow sulfur balls floating on the lake's surface are particularly noticeable. To experience a foot bath in nature, you have to walk a long mountain path. The mountain path is probably to protect the primitive ecosystem, but the view is worth the trip. The actual scenery is much more beautiful than in the photos. In winter, scenic spots are closed due to road conditions. Sightseeing around Lake Toya (approximately 120 minutes including free lunch time, the order of tours may change depending on traffic conditions, pick-up and drop-off conditions, and length of stay) Showa Shinzan Wakuma Ranch (60 minutes): On December 28, 1943, a strong earthquake occurred near Mount Usu on the shores of Lake Toya. As a result, a volcano erupted, and the ground rose rapidly to form a tall mountain. Volcanic activity As of September 10, 1945, there had been 17 relatively active volcanic activities in two years. To commemorate this volcanic activity, this new volcano, 398 meters above sea level, was designated a Special Natural Monument in 1957 and named Showa Shinzan. It is a "new mountain" that continues to grow even today, and white smoke can be seen constantly rising from the red-brown mountains. 8 Impressive Views of Lake Toya (10 minutes): Lake Toya, a freshwater lake in southwestern Hokkaido. A caldera lake. It has a diameter of about 10 km, is almost circular, and has an area of 70.72 sq km. Circumference 50 km. Deepest point 180.0 meters. Average water depth 117.0 meters. Water storage capacity 8.19 cubic kilometers. The lake is at an elevation of 84 meters. It is the northernmost ice-free lake in Japan. Lake Toya Observatory (10 min): A freshwater lake in southwestern Hokkaido. Near Uchiura Bay. Part of Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Caldera lake. Otaru (about 90 minutes, free dinner) Surrounded by red brick and gray tile warehouses built since the Meiji era, this is the only European-style place in Japan where you can stroll along the old canal streets with your family and friends in a tranquil atmosphere. [Kitayoshi Glass Art Museum] is famous for its glass workshop where you can see intricate and diverse glass crafts, and [Music Box Museum] exhibits more than 1,000 types of music boxes from around the world, allowing you to be surrounded by music.

Nokogiriyama is known as a lesser known mountain on the Boso Peninsula. With its jagged ridgeline resembling the teeth of a saw, and the remains of the quarry where Boso stone was quarried by the stone-cutting industry until the Showa era, it looks like an abandoned building, and this otherworldly space that appears in the middle of nature has become popular. On this tour, you will pass through the streets of Kanaya, which once flourished as a stone-cutting industry, and climb the "Sharikko Road," a road that once transported quarried stone, with a guide. While enjoying the climb, which is low above sea level but has a large elevation difference, you will feel the breath of the craftsmen of the time, and trace the history of how Boso stone supported Japan's modernization and declined over time.
