This is an experience program unique to Shizuoka, the tea-producing region, where you can learn about tea from farmers at a tea plantation where high-quality tea is produced using the Chagusaba farming method, a World Agricultural Heritage site, and enjoy a sencha ceremony where you brew delicious tea yourself in a teapot. First, gather at Higashiyama Ippukudokoro. Morning session starts at 10:00 a.m., afternoon session starts at 1:00 p.m.
Experience comparing Higashiyama tea drinks at Higashiyama Ipukudokoro Morning session starts from 10:00, afternoon session starts from 13:00, approximately 30 minutes.
Spend time in a tea plantation with a tea farmer Morning session starts from 10:40, afternoon session starts from 13:40, approximately 30 minutes.
You might even be able to see Mt. Fuji from the scenic terrace! Morning session starts from 11:20, afternoon session starts from 14:20.

Get off at Shin-Tomei Kanaya-Shimada Interchange, about 20 minutes
Get off at Kakegawa Station on the Shinkansen and drive for about 30 minutes.
From Kakegawa Station, get off at the Higashiyama Line "Higashiyama" bus stop (terminal stop) and walk for 2 minutes.
