There are few local foods that are as popular as this one, and for a long time, "oneri for breakfast, barley rice for lunch, and pumpkin hoto for dinner" seemed to have been the standard for daily life in the rural areas of Koshu. In 2007, it was selected as one of the "100 Best Local Dishes of Rural Areas" organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, which are known in farming, mountain and fishing villages all over Japan and are widely supported by the people. Unlike regular noodles, hoto noodles do not need to be left to rest. Therefore, you will make the noodles by hand from the powder state. It will be quite a voluminous meal, so please come hungry.
