A swordsmith will teach you how to make Japanese knives using blacksmith techniques. Using the same material as Japanese swords, Tamahagane, the forged iron is shaped with a hammer. You can make your own clay holder and add a blade crest. Attach the blade, cut your name on it, and sharpen it to complete it. Although it is a physically demanding job, the swordsmith will be happy to assist you, so don't worry if you are not confident in doing the heavy lifting, such as children or women. You can take photos and videos while working! The trial fee is for one Japanese knife. You can also make one book for two or more people. In that case, please let us know how many people will be participating in the experience when making a reservation. If you are making a reservation for three or more, it will take a little longer. Our family had the honor of spending a day with Master Katana Craftsman, Mr. Yoshida. Under his guidance, we delved into the intricate world of sword making, learning patience, precision, and the rich history of Japanese craftsmanship. Our children actively participated in every stage of the process, from forging "Tamahagane" into steel to polishing it into a beautiful blade, creating not just a work of art but also cherished family memories. Our heartfelt thanks for the hospitality and the remarkable experience.

In this plan, you can choose your favorite from M course, tenugui (35cmx98cm), tapestry (45cm x 90cm), goodwill (45cm x 90cm), and the whole process of Japanese traditional craft "Rouketsu dyeing" "Drawing a picture" From dyeing to drying ”. No need for painting, even children are OK! !! A locust dyeing craftsman will carefully guide you. Choose from many sketches and combine them. Also, the original design is OK. Trace the sketch using a brush with wax, then put on boots, apron, and gloves and dye it yourself. After dyeing, remove the wax you drew and you're done. The part drawn with wax remains white as the original fabric without being dyed, and you can easily create simple and deep works dyed with wax, such as shades due to the thickness of the wax and crack patterns due to wax cracks. The work is completed in about 90 to 120 minutes and you can take it home on the day. ~ Flow of the day ~ ① There are many sketches available, so you can choose your favorite sketch from them. The original design is also OK ② Once the sketch is decided, trace the sketch using a brush with wax. Draw a rough sketch with the heated wax included in the brush. ③ Dye the cotton cloth with the sketch drawn with wax in the dye. Please enjoy the dyeing experience by yourself. ④ Soaping work: Put the dyed cotton cloth in a kettle with boiling water and remove only the wax from the cloth. ⑤ Wash the cotton cloth from which the wax has been removed, dehydrate it with a dehydrator, and then dry it. ⑥ You can take home the finished work on the day. Please take home your precious memories in Kyoto.

Soft and fragrant "Kyoto It is a set of chopstick making of the famous wood Kitayama cedar "and a cupboard making of Yuzen that dyes a pattern using a pattern. This was an awesome experience! We had someone, who was fluent in English (important for some people), explaining every step as we went, while checking on us and giving us help as needed. It is the KyoWorkshop area, so there were other groups of people doing other crafts. We made our own chop sticks while other groups were dying fabric (that looked cool, as well!). A surprise to us at the end is we got to dye a carry bag for our chopsticks!

Why not make your own original goshuincho at the popular Japanese culture experience cafe in Asakusa? Goshuincho are used by worshippers to keep a record of their travels and pilgrimages and visits when they visit Japanese temples and shrines. First, you can make an upcycled goshuincho that is kind to the earth, using recycled materials such as scraps from the kimono manufacturing process, used paper bags and wrapping paper. Choose your favorite pattern from the materials and make your own favorite goshuincho! The staff will support you, so even beginners can enjoy creating. If you visit shrines and temples with your handmade goshuincho, it will become a deeper memory. ●What is upcycling? It is to give new added value to things or unnecessary items that would otherwise be discarded, upgrade them into new products, and reborn them. In order to switch from a consumer society in which things are mass-produced and consumed to a sustainable society, the keyword upcycling is very important.

[What is suridane in the first place? ? Suridane is an all-purpose seasoning that originated in Fujiyoshida and is based on red chili pepper with sesame and Japanese pepper. I always have it when I go to Yoshida's udon and hoto shops in Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko. Generally speaking, we think of ichimi and shichimi as the spiciness of udon, but here in Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko Yoshida's udon, we use suridane instead of ichimi and shichimi. Suridane is also called “Karami” or “Spicy” and is placed on counters and tables in the same way as tenkasu and soy sauce. It's not just spicy, but the umami is condensed into the spiciness. Common suridane is often moist, but the way it is made varies depending on the shop, so they have established their own unique taste by stir-frying in oil, adding soy sauce, sugar, and dried bonito flakes. increase. Super Spicy Takana-sensei's suridane is a completely original recipe that mixes [blended red pepper] and [black sesame]. In addition to udon, we recommend it as a versatile seasoning for various dishes such as ramen, hot pot, oden, and yakisoba. [Introduction of suridane making experience] Our store was originally the first suridane specialty store in the Fuji Five Lakes area, selling over 20 types of our original suridane. We have prepared a wide variety of spiciness and taste variations, and it has been featured in the media many times, probably because of its curiosity. The suridane base is made with non-spicy red pepper, sesame seeds, bonito flakes, and salt. Even if you add sesame oil to this, it's still delicious as suridane. is also recommended. In addition, we also offer spices such as cumin, coriander, and turmeric, as well as healthy grains such as rice bran, bean curd refuse, and amaranth. You can make your own original suridane, the only one in the world, so it is a highly recommended experience for those who visit Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko. Even for small children, it is popular because it feels like an experiment because it is made by mixing various powders. Why don't you make your own original suridane that is perfect as a souvenir for yourself or as a gift for your parents and friends? It takes about 30 minutes. Since it is an indoor facility, there is no problem even if the weather is bad. Please feel free to use it. [This plan is recommended for the following people] ・Those who are interested in suridane ・Those who are interested in making seasonings ・Those who want to enjoy with their parents ・Those looking for hands-on activities ・Those looking for activities in rainy weather direction

"Yu Kobo" opens 6 classrooms in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka. Bright and friendly professional staff will help you together according to the speed of each person. ☆ Using 400g of Mino ware soil, turn the potter's wheel to make a container. ① Teacup ② Hot water only ③ Free cup ④ Small plate ⑤ You can choose your favorite shape from the small bowl. ☆ In the experience, we will use a hand-cranked potter's wheel, but we will lecture on the same "watering" technique as the electric potter's wheel. You can make a work that is the same as an electric potter's wheel even with a hand-cranked potter's wheel. ☆ You can also paint with Tetsusai hands. If you think about the painting design to draw on the container in advance, you will have a nice container. ☆ The completed work will be handed over about one to one and a half months after the experience date. ☆ If you have any concerns about the production of your work, please feel free to contact us.
ひとりで参加しましたが、同席したグループの人たちとの会話もとても楽しく、先生の説明もとてもわかり易かったので、とても楽しく体験できました。小鉢を作りましたが、次回はまた違う器を作りたいです。
