Would you like to try making a traditional Japanese onigawara? I have made and restored many onigawara, so I will teach you individually. The size is about palm-sized. It will take about 3 to 4 hours, but the time it takes to complete varies from person to person. Once it is completed, your name and the year it was made will be written on it with a spatula, and the experience will end. Enjoy successive Isokichi works with luxurious commentary! Ikichi Fukaka Pottery Kiln is located in Yawata, where kilns for making figurines are concentrated. It has roots that the first generation was a pottery specializing in ceramics, and even now, we are doing everything from creating the ceramics to painting. This program is a studio tour in which Ms. Ikika Asakura, the daughter of Mr. Isokichi Asakura, the fourth generation, explains the studio, gallery, and works.
