Miyagi Kahon Kobo Arco, who produces and sells handmade cajon in Ishinomaki City,
We have developed an original cajon production kit that can be easily produced by beginners!

Want to try Kahon handmade?
The craftsman will guide you and anyone will definitely complete it.
The first half of the 90-minute course is screwed and bonded with woodworking bonds.
In the second half, there is a mini knowledge of cahon and an explanation of how to play on the waiting time for drying of the adhesive.
You can enjoy it with your children.

What is cajor?

Cajon means "box, drawer" in Spanish. A substitute for drums that originated in South America in the 1800s AD, and developed especially in the coastal areas of Peru. Cajon, which was brought from Brazil to Spain in the 1970s, was accepted by the flamenco world and spread from Europe to the world. Currently, it is incorporated into various genres of music because of its ease of use.

Cajón Production

Would you like to experience making a wooden percussion instrument cajon in Ishinomaki, the hometown of ARCO cajon? In this plan, we will assemble a regular size (width 30 cm x depth 30 cm x height 40 cm). It is easy to assemble without any failure due to the construction method by full adhesive!
