Learn about kanji, the history of calligraphy, and tools, and try writing your favorite characters with a brush and ink. Let's learn the bushido and experience the samurai spirit.What is the most important thing for a samurai? Wearing hakama, sandals, and a sword, and learning etiquette, manners, and kata. We call it the BUSHIDO sign.Next, as a BUSHIDO LEARN, you will experience the weight and sharpness of a real Japanese sword. We will learn the basics of swordsmanship (Battou and Nattou).We will take a break with SAMURAI TEA on the way. You will be entertained at a tea ceremony, as samurai risked their lives to "entertain" and "be entertained".Before participating in the final battle of the Warring States Period, the Battle of Osaka, the participants are asked to prepare for death and reflect on their own lives, writing their last words with a large brush on every piece of paper. This is called Deathbed calligraphy.At last, he puts on his armor and helmet to become a bushido master and goes to battle at the castle of Osaka to gain military merit in the battle of Osaka. However, when the defeat was imminent, the samurai, for the sake of honor, would not suffer the shame of the noose, even if they lost the battle, but would die by harakiri or cutting their belly before being captured.

This is an experiential tour where you will experience calligraphy, one of Japan's proud artistic cultures, and create two works of art. Each participant will receive a piece of work created by our instructor. Original and not a print. The type to display on your desk comes with a frame as shown in the photo. Larger types are available only in kind. You will practice how to hold a brush, basic vertical lines, horizontal lines, sweeps, dots, etc., and we will create two works of art that you can display in your home. One will be a large piece to hang on the wall, and one will be a small piece to hang on a desk or table. The instructor is a master calligrapher and professional calligrapher certified by the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, and the host of the calligraphy class. Please join us on this experiential tour where you can experience calligraphy, create your own work, and even get professional work. The venue will be a rental conference room near Higashi Ginza Station.

This is a tour to experience the basics of calligraphy. We will create works that you can display in your home. The instructor is a master certified by the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, so he can give qualified advice. It will be held in the Ginza/Tsukiji area, so you can participate before or after strolling through Ginza or enjoying the Tsukiji restaurant district. This is a private tour with a maximum of 6 participants, and you can set the start time according to your convenience without worrying about other groups. This is a great opportunity to experience Japanese culture. We look forward to your participation.

For calligraphy (making works with a brush), you choose your favorite characters, words, and typeface from several models such as kanji, kana, and waka. After practicing calligraphy styles and points, make a clean copy. Decorate with calligraphy glitter (*) as you like. *While drying the product developed exclusively for our atelier to decorate calligraphy, let's do the seal engraving (making a seal to engrave names and words). Our atelier is characterized by engraving on special soft rubber that can be handled easily and safely. For those who want to make a seal (stamped on the bottom left of the work), the instructor will propose a design based on your name in kanji or kana. Those who want to make a sign (stuffed on the top right of the work) will choose from several auspicious words. We will assign kanji to your name and prepare a sample in advance. 3 minutes walk from JR Omori Station, Tokyo①A calligraphy experience class will be held in the grounds of Omori Sanno Hie Shrine. In an ancient Japanese-style room, you can write kanji and kana using real brushes, Japanese paper, ink, and inkstones. All tools will be provided here, so please come empty-handed. You can take home the work you have written (if you wish, we will provide a frame and a seal). The instructor is a Bunka Calligraphy Higher Master and also teaches at several calligraphy classes in Tokyo. ②On the second floor of the same building, we hold lessons for the Iwama-ryu Aikido class, and if the time is right, you can also observe and experience it. In addition to physical techniques, there are also weapon techniques (using swords, canes, and daggers). ③In addition, simple tea utensils will be provided upon request, so you can experience the tea ceremony by making your own matcha. ④Nearby is Omori Shell Mound Park, where you can take a stroll and feel the Jomon period.
