Plan description

Held on Wednesday, February 11th (a national holiday)! Enjoy a snowshoeing experience only available during the snowy season! This plan involves a guided walk through Kaze no Matsubara, one of Japan's largest pine forests, in snowshoes or snowshoes. (A small souvenir is included.) A guide, knowledgeable about the history, flora, and fauna of Kaze no Matsubara, will accompany you. In addition to the usual walking trails, you'll also explore areas accessible only during the snowy season, so you might even spot animal footprints! The calm winds within Kaze no Matsubara, a sabo forest, allow you to experience how it protects the city of Noshiro from strong winds from the Sea of Japan. Many locals have never tried snowshoes or snowshoes, and this event is also open to visitors from within the city and prefecture. Even first-timers can participate with peace of mind, as a guide will accompany you and provide support! Schedule: 9:45 AM: Meeting, registration, guide introduction, snowshoe fitting. 10:00 AM: Departure. Walk through Kaze no Matsubara. 12:00 PM: End. *The above schedule is a guideline. Approximately 10 minutes from Noshiro Minami IC on the Akita Expressway Parking: 60 cars (free)

If you arrive by train

Approximately 70 minutes from JR Akita Station on the Ou Main Line or Gono Line. From JR Akita Station, take the express bus departing from the west exit of Akita Station at 6:53 and arriving in front of Noshiro Station at 8:08. Approximately 5 minutes by taxi from JR Noshiro Station.
