At the workshop, you'll learn about the history of Nishijin-ori and the techniques of its artisans while touching the actual weaving tools used. You'll also get a close-up tour of the jacquard loom, where you'll experience the craftsmanship and power of the loom. During the hand weaving experience, you'll weave a table center approximately 20cm x 30cm on a special hand loom. The texture changes depending on the strength of the weave and the tension of the weft thread, creating a fascinating experience that will leave you lost in time. Kintsugi is a repair technique in which cracks, chips, and other damaged parts of ceramics are glued together with lacquer and decorated with gold and other metal powder. It is also called Kintsukuroi. At our salon, we use simple lacquer instead of real lacquer, and we finish at a reasonable price. Tableware that holds a special meaning can be revived by Kintsugi, and upgraded by applying gold. We accept lessons and orders. This is a fishpond-style dolphin pool located in Fukura Bay on the south side of Awaji Island. You can swim with dolphins, kiss them, shake their hands, and experience other things in a location that is a little different from an aquarium. This is a very satisfying course where you can swim with the dolphins and feel and learn about their skin and cries up close.
