"Oh! Den" run by owner Ishiguro is one of the famous restaurants in Abashiri that you cannot enter without a reservation. He purchases fresh fish for the number of people making reservations that day, and always serves dishes using seasonal fish from the Okhotsk Sea. He is so thorough in his selection of ingredients that he sometimes goes out on fishing boats himself to learn more about fish, and even rents farm land to grow vegetables for his restaurant. Since the restaurant is busy every night with reservations, a special program was organized for the daytime. Owner Ishiguro was born in Rausu Town at the base of the Shiretoko Peninsula and grew up in the region's unique food culture. You will learn tips on how to fillet fish and how to identify delicious fish from the owner. The main focus will be on large birds of prey, such as Steller's sea eagles and white-tailed eagles, which are designated as natural monuments and visit Shiretoko in winter. You can use binoculars and telescopes to observe their fearless faces as they stare intently at the sea and rivers, searching for prey, and you may even see them diving into the sea to hunt fish. The excitement of finding a large eagle with a body length of 1m and a wingspan of over 2m will be an unforgettable memory. During this tour, you may also encounter Ezo deer and red foxes. *The number of eagles seen will decrease from mid- to late March. *The tour will mainly be by car, but we will occasionally get off the car to observe. This special tour, only available in winter, involves walking through the forest at night on snowshoes. As you get used to the darkness and walk relying as much as possible only on your own eyes, the light of the snow, and the light of the stars, you will have a strange feeling as if a primitive power that had been sleeping inside you has returned. The sound of your feet crunching on the snow echoes through the silent forest at night, creating a tense atmosphere that is unique to this tour. If there is no moonlight and no clouds, countless stars will twinkle in the sky and you can enjoy stargazing. On the other hand, during a full moon, you can appreciate the beauty and brightness of the moon anew. Why not spend a fantastic night in Shiretoko on this tour?

The greatest feature of this tour is that you can enjoy the untouched nature of Shiretoko on snowshoes in areas that do not have well-maintained walking trails and still retain their pristine nature. During the tour, you can stop at a viewpoint with a spectacular view of the tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula, where you can see the hidden waterfalls that flow from the cliffs, frozen by the freezing cold. During the drift ice season, you will be amazed by the overwhelming beauty of the Okhotsk Sea covered in drift ice, and the silvery white Shiretoko Mountains towering behind the cliffs. On this tour, you will have a high chance of encountering wild animals such as Ezo deer and Ezo red foxes, so you can enjoy the winter nature of Shiretoko to the fullest. *Due to the lack of sufficient snowfall from early to late December and late March, there is a high possibility that you will be guided in boots instead of snowshoes. In that case, we will guide you to the same area tour in the snow-free season, "Shiretoko Primeval Forest & Spectacular Cliffs Trekking" (Adults: 5,100 yen, Children: 2,600 yen). Thank you for your understanding.

Let's start a beautiful journey today Noboribetsu (about 60 minutes) In the ruins of a volcano in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, there remains a grassy area with a diameter of about 450 meters formed about 10,000 years ago. Noboribetsu Jigokudani got its name because it smells of sulfur and looks like you are in hell. Oyunuma is the remains of a crater formed when Hiyoriyama erupted, and sulfur springs at about 130 degrees gush out from the bottom of the pond, which is the source of Noboribetsu's main hot spring inns. There is an observation deck here where you can see the steaming lake right in front of you, and you can also walk around and experience the lake up close. As you walk around the lake, you can smell the sulfur, and you can see the hot springs that are always smoking and bubbling, and the yellow sulfur balls floating on the lake's surface are particularly noticeable. To experience a foot bath in nature, you have to walk a long mountain path. The mountain path is probably to protect the primitive ecosystem, but the view is worth the trip. The actual scenery is much more beautiful than in the photos. In winter, scenic spots are closed due to road conditions. Sightseeing around Lake Toya (approximately 120 minutes including free lunch time, the order of tours may change depending on traffic conditions, pick-up and drop-off conditions, and length of stay) Showa Shinzan Wakuma Ranch (60 minutes): On December 28, 1943, a strong earthquake occurred near Mount Usu on the shores of Lake Toya. As a result, a volcano erupted, and the ground rose rapidly to form a tall mountain. Volcanic activity As of September 10, 1945, there had been 17 relatively active volcanic activities in two years. To commemorate this volcanic activity, this new volcano, 398 meters above sea level, was designated a Special Natural Monument in 1957 and named Showa Shinzan. It is a "new mountain" that continues to grow even today, and white smoke can be seen constantly rising from the red-brown mountains. 8 Impressive Views of Lake Toya (10 minutes): Lake Toya, a freshwater lake in southwestern Hokkaido. A caldera lake. It has a diameter of about 10 km, is almost circular, and has an area of 70.72 square km. Circumference 50 km. The deepest part is 180.0 meters. The average depth is 117.0 meters. The storage capacity is 8.19 cubic kilometers. The lake is at an elevation of 84 meters. It is the northernmost ice-free lake in Japan. It has a diameter of about 10 km, is almost circular, and has an area of 70.72 square kilometers. Circumference 50 km. The deepest part is 180.0 meters. The average depth is 117.0 meters. TAC's most popular tour! You can experience aggressive rafting on the Tokachi River and leisurely canoeing on the lake in half a day! !! Furthermore, all applicants are very satisfied with the hot spring bathing ticket "Kutari Onsen Bathing Ticket", which is a 1-minute drive from TAC! !!
