Kannabe Highlands is home to Kannabe Volcano, the newest volcano in Kinki and the only one with a crater remaining. ​Trek through the river, using your whole body along the lava flow that was formed when lava solidified after it erupted about 25,000 years ago. Along the way, you can go close to a waterfall, grab onto rocks to move forward, feel the water pressure, and it's just like natural athletics! One of the things to enjoy is the outdoor break time, where you can relax in a secret place. *There are beginner to intermediate routes, so you can choose a course that suits the physical ability of the participants.

After starting from Higashiyama base, you will head for the Lake Biwa Canal along the cycling road along the Kamo River. If it is cherry blossom season, you will take photos at the Lake Biwa Canal. Take photos at the large torii gate of Heian Shrine, pass under the large torii gate, and head for the incline. At the incline, you will hear an explanation about the Lake Biwa Canal. During cherry blossom season, you can take photos with the cherry blossoms in the background.
