Otaru is a tourist destination that represents Hokkaido. If you move a little away from the center, you will find a vast expanse of snowy nature. A nature guide will lead you through the Otaru forest in winter wearing Western snowshoes called snowshoes. The winter forest is full of fun elements such as fluffy powder snow, the sound of animal footsteps, bird watching, and snow slides. With snowshoes, you can walk anywhere you want, even in places where the snow is so deep that you would normally not be able to go into them. No experience or skill required. It can be easily enjoyed by everyone from children to the elderly. During the tour, we set up a simple tent and had tea time! Drinking hot drinks in the midst of nature has a special taste. We provide free transportation to and from Otaru Station. There are two half-day tours a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. This tour is recommended for those who want to experience snowshoeing in Hokkaido. This guided tour can be given in English.

About 150 years ago, along with the opening of the port of Kobe, the foreign settlement was established as a residence and workplace for foreigners. Please take a stroll through the exotic streets filled with retro buildings from the Taisho to Showa periods, including the 15th building, which is the only remaining building from the former settlement period. ~Time schedule~ 10:00 [Meet in front of Hanadokei in Higashi Yuenchi: Immediately outside C8 exit of Sannomiya station underpass] The tour starts here! Although the road is flat, you will walk about 2 kilometers, so please wear comfortable shoes on the day. 10:10 [Japan Pearl Hall] Built in 1952, a nationally registered tangible cultural property. It can be said that it is a mecca for pearl processing in Kobe's local industry, and the building has a historical atmosphere. 10:25 [Kobe City Museum] This museum is a nationally registered tangible cultural property that was built in 1935 and was built in the former Yokohama Specie Bank Kobe Branch. The ancient Greek-style exterior with 6 Doric semi-columns and the entrance of the colonnade reminiscent of the time when it was a bank are impressive. 10:50 [Former Kobe Settlement 15th Building] Nationally designated important cultural property built around Meiji 13. The building was used as the American Consulate in its early days, and has a colonial-style exterior with an open verandah on the south side of the second floor. Although it was completely destroyed in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, 70% of the materials used before the collapse were used to return to its original state. 10:55 [Shinko Building] Completed in 1939 as the headquarters building of Kawasaki Kisen. Characterized by its simple design, the art deco-style penthouse on the southeast corner of the roof accentuates the scenery of Kaigandori. 11:00 [Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Building] A landmark of the port town of Kobe. It is an elegant and gorgeous building with impressive stonework (rustica) on the first floor and elegant terracotta decoration on the second and higher floors. The designer, Setsu Watanabe, visited Europe and the United States when designing this building, and decided on an American Renaissance style architecture. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of its completion in April 2022, it is still in operation as an active office building. . One of the buildings representing Kaigandori. Built as Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Kobe branch building, designed by Kozo Kawai. 11:20 [Kobe Meriken Park] "Meriken Park" and "Harborland", where you can find photogenic landmarks that represent Kobe, are areas you should visit first when you come to Kobe for sightseeing. Take a leisurely walk along the coast while feeling the sea breeze, board a cruise ship and view the cityscape of Kobe from the sea, or enjoy the glittering night view at night. Designed by Vories Architectural Office, which has worked on Kobe Jogakuin and Kwansei Gakuin University. 11:20 [Kobe Foreign Settlement Ruins Monument] This monument was erected on April 25, 1967 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the port of Kobe. 11:35 [Chinatown Nankinmachi] Along with Yokohama Chinatown and Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown, Nankinmachi is counted as one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan. It is a popular tourist area with a wide variety of stores selling Chinese food, miscellaneous goods, and dishes.

☆Mt. Hiuchi, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, a paradise tour above the clouds ☆Mt. Hiuchi forms the Kubiki mountains along with Mt. Myoko and Mt. On the hillside of Mt. Hiuchi, around 2000m to 2100m above sea level, there is a beautiful wetland area with Takaya Pond, Kurosawa Pond, and Tengu no Niwa. In July, when the snow finally melts on Mt. Hiuchi, the wetlands are filled with beautiful alpine flowers. The green of the fresh green, the white of the lingering snow, the colorful flower garden and the bright blue sky... The scenery is truly worthy of being called a heavenly paradise. After mid-September, the surface of the mountain gradually turns into autumn colors. Especially from late September to early October, the beauty of the Tengu Garden, Takaya Pond, and Kurosawa Pond is beyond description. This tour, which starts from the trailhead of Mt. Sasagamine at an altitude of about 1300m, will be a full-fledged mountaineering tour with an altitude difference of 800m. However, a spectacular view awaits us that will blow away the hardships of climbing! 〜Schedule for the day〜 6:45 AM - Meet at Sasagamine trailhead parking lot. Warm-up exercise + explanation of itinerary 7:00 AM - Tour start Departure from Sasagamine trailhead. First, walk through a beautiful beech forest to Kurosawa Bridge. 7:50 AM - Take a short break by Kurosawa's clear stream before climbing Kurosawa Bridge 9:30 AM - Fujimidaira End of the steep climb. From here, follow the flat road to Koyaike Hutte. If the weather is good, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Hiuchi, Mt. Yake, Mt. Kanayama, and the Northern Alps. 10:45 PM - Koyaike Hut Arrive at Koyaike Hutte with a triangular roof. restroom break. 12:15 PM - Walk around Tengu's Garden & Lunch Arrive at Tengu's Garden after 15 minutes from Takaya Pond. You can take pictures of the upside-down fire hitting reflected on the surface of the water, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the heavenly paradise. After returning to the hut, it's lunch time on the bench in front of the hut! 16:00 PM - Tour ends The tour ends with a descent to Sasagamine.
