Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Building A landmark of the port town of Kobe. It is an elegant and gorgeous building with impressive stonework (rustica) on the first floor and elegant terracotta decoration on the second and higher floors. The designer, Setsu Watanabe, visited Europe and the United States when designing this building, and decided on an American Renaissance style architecture. It will celebrate its 100th anniversary in April 2022, and is still in operation as an active office building.

Ship Kobe Kaigan Building One of the buildings representing Kaigandori. Built as Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Kobe branch building, designed by Kozo Kawai. It was certified as completely destroyed by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and the geometrically decorated outer wall was removed and stored. Later, the old outer wall was rebuilt in the lower part of a newly reconstructed high-rise building on the same site. The elevator hall contains six granite columns that once adorned the south entrance hall.
