Kiyoshikojin Seicho-ji Temple is a temple of the Shingon Sanpo sect, which is said to have been built in the early Heian period at the imperial request of Emperor Uda. It is called 'Kiyoshikojin Seicho-ji' because it is a mixture of Shinto and Buddhism of Kojin faith and Shingon Sanpo sect. The principal image of worship is the statue of Dainichi Nyorai, which has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. Kiyoshikojin Seicho-ji Temple was located on the northeast side of the mountain since it was founded, but it burned down in numerous wars and was later rebuilt at its current location. Kiyoshikojin Seichoji Temple is also known as the God of Fire and the God of the Furnace, and is visited by people and tourists throughout the year to pray for worldly profits, especially the safety of their families, and prosperous business.
