Departing from Asahikawa Station! This is a snowshoe hiking tour that uses the Daisetsuzan Kurodake Ropeway to walk around Mt. Kurodake and Kamuy Forest. The Daisetsuzan Mountain Range is a place with plenty of snow even at the end of April! A professional guide will give you various lectures on the key points of winter hiking. This tour is recommended for those who want to make their snowshoeing debut. Use the ropeway and chairlift to strap on your snowshoes and explore the snow-covered winter forest. If the weather is good, you can see snow-covered Mt. Kurodake and Mt. Niseikausuppe. You can also enjoy super long snow slides. After descending the mountain, you can stop by Sounkyo Onsen if you wish. Please note that the ropeway/lift fee and bathing fee must be paid by each participant. *In the event of bad weather, the route may be changed to ensure safety. Thank you for your understanding.
Special equipment such as snowshoes and poles can be rented for free. In addition to the above, goggles, winter gloves, waterproof winter outerwear, and waterproof snow boots are available for rent, but for a fee. If you wish to rent for a fee, please let us know the size and number of men and women at the time of application. The rental fee below is for each item. Ski goggles (free size)/winter gloves: 500 yen Thermal/waterproof wear top and bottom set (S~LL size) 2000 yen Cold/waterproof shoes (21~29cm) 2000 yen
We will pick you up from Asahikawa station for free. You can participate by public transportation. Pick-up and drop-off from accommodations around the station is also possible. * We can also pick you up from accommodations near Higashikawa Town. In that case, please contact us before applying.
The tour is a small group and provides personalized support. The number of groups is up to 2 and the capacity is up to 5 people. As a measure against coronavirus, alcohol disinfectants and disposable masks are installed in the shuttle car.

Walk through the winter forest on snowshoes Walk through the quiet winter forest on snowshoes. After walking for a while, you will come to an observation deck with a nice view.
Lunch with a view of Mt. Kurodake Lunch time in an open area! If it's sunny, you can see Mt. Kurodake.
super long snow slider After gaining altitude on the lift, you will descend on the snow slider. You can bathe your whole body in powder. Both adults and children will have a blast!
Unlimited snow diving! Sounkyo is an area that experiences heavy snowfall. There is plenty of powder snow.
Beginner OK Lectures from professional guides Lectures and support from professional guides certified by the Japan Mountain Guide Association. Even those who are wearing snowshoes for the first time are fine.
Time schedule
The whole process 8:00 After meeting at Asahikawa Station, we will head to Kurodake Ropeway. 10:00 Board the ropeway from Sanroku Station. After that, transfer to the lift 10:30~14:00 Put on snowshoes and start hiking. Stroll through Kamuy Forest with breaks and lectures here and there. Aim for the observation deck. Afterwards, return to the ropeway station. 15:00 After descending the mountain, head to Asahikawa Station. 17:00 Disband at Asahikawa Station.
