A gorgeous little bamboo basket weaving workshop. I had the earliest morning slot and ended up being the only participant. I have to admit I was in a bit of a hurry and have a lot of birch bark basket weaving experience so ended up weaving up my basket in under 15 min and then dashing to the teachers surprise but we had a lot of fun in that short time and the basket I made turned out gorgeous.

I had a great hands on experience making the brush. Tanaka-sensei was really nice and helpful. Though she did not speaks English and with my limited Japanese, the experience went smoothly (Thank you Google Translate...it did a lot of help). ほんとうに楽しかった。ありがとうございました. Can't wait to try the brush I've made for my 書道 class.
