It seems that many glass crafts have been passed down from ancient Egypt. Among them, fusing has a finish reminiscent of a mosaic pattern. Glass chips called millefiori are lined up on colorful plate glass. After that, when it is fired in an electric furnace, the glass melts and the colored patterns look like mosaic art. Why not paint papier-mâché, a lucky charm, with an original design at Asakusa's popular Japanese culture experience cafe? Papier-mâché is a piece of paper made from a frame made of wood or other materials and covered with Japanese paper. It originally originated in China, but is said to have come to Japan during the Heian period. Once you have decided on the body, use your imagination and color your ideas with paint. The staff will support you, so even beginners can enjoy creating. Papier mache is hollow and very light, so it is very popular as a souvenir from travel. [Selectable Body Types] ▶Daruma The ``Daruma'' has been valued as a talisman and auspicious item since ancient times because of its rounded shape, which means that it can get back up again and again even if it falls down. Papier-mâché daruma dolls have the meaning of warding off evil spirits, family harmony, and having wishes come true, so they are used for general wishes such as prosperous business and sure victory. ▶Maneki Neko Cats were used as lucky charms for sericulture in ancient times, as they exterminated rats that ate crops and silkworms, but after sericulture declined, they became a lucky charm for business prosperity. There is a theory that beckoning cats were originally made using a pottery method called Imado ware, which was produced around Imado Town in Asakusa. *Contains opinions▶ Fox masks Fox masks are used in Nohgaku (general term for Noh and Kyogen) and Kagura (dances and songs performed to worship gods). At Inari shrines, they are often considered to be auspicious objects, as if they are enshrined as messengers of the gods. Additionally, the fox mask is said to bring blessings such as a rich harvest, prosperous business, and safety for the family. *Depending on stock availability, we may not be able to provide the body you desire.

[What is suridane in the first place? ? Suridane is an all-purpose seasoning that originated in Fujiyoshida and is based on red chili pepper with sesame and Japanese pepper. I always have it when I go to Yoshida's udon and hoto shops in Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko. Generally speaking, we think of ichimi and shichimi as the spiciness of udon, but here in Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko Yoshida's udon, we use suridane instead of ichimi and shichimi. Suridane is also called “Karami” or “Spicy” and is placed on counters and tables in the same way as tenkasu and soy sauce. It's not just spicy, but the umami is condensed into the spiciness. Common suridane is often moist, but the way it is made varies depending on the shop, so they have established their own unique taste by stir-frying in oil, adding soy sauce, sugar, and dried bonito flakes. increase. Super Spicy Takana-sensei's suridane is a completely original recipe that mixes [blended red pepper] and [black sesame]. In addition to udon, we recommend it as a versatile seasoning for various dishes such as ramen, hot pot, oden, and yakisoba. [Introduction of suridane making experience] Our store was originally the first suridane specialty store in the Fuji Five Lakes area, selling over 20 types of our original suridane. We have prepared a wide variety of spiciness and taste variations, and it has been featured in the media many times, probably because of its curiosity. The suridane base is made with non-spicy red pepper, sesame seeds, bonito flakes, and salt. Even if you add sesame oil to this, it's still delicious as suridane. is also recommended. In addition, we also offer spices such as cumin, coriander, and turmeric, as well as healthy grains such as rice bran, bean curd refuse, and amaranth. You can make your own original suridane, the only one in the world, so it is a highly recommended experience for those who visit Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko. Even for small children, it is popular because it feels like an experiment because it is made by mixing various powders. Why don't you make your own original suridane that is perfect as a souvenir for yourself or as a gift for your parents and friends? It takes about 30 minutes. Since it is an indoor facility, there is no problem even if the weather is bad. Please feel free to use it.

It is a mud dyeing experience of Kumamoto and Yamaga. It is located at the entrance of Yachiyoza, a nationally designated important cultural property, and in the center of the tourist attraction Toyomae Kaido. Even small children can enjoy dyeing with peace of mind because the cloth is simply soaked in muddy water made from the natural soil of Yamaga without using fire. Not only is it rare that there is only one in the world, but it is also useful as an everyday fashion accent!
