Miyama Porcelain Yumi is an experienced recreation facility built in "Satsuma-yaki no Sato Miyama" in Hioki, Kagoshima Prefecture. Currently, we are experiencing pottery experience to 4000 customers a year. In addition, we are also selling merchandise of modern Satsuma Co., Ltd. which runs the hotel, exhibition and sale of works made in pottery and workshops dotted in Miyama.

Each person can make 3-4 pieces using 2kg of clay. Choose your favorite piece from the pottery, have it bisque-fired and final-fired, and then hand it over to you after 3 months. This is a course where you can experience the fun of pottery throwing. We will provide thorough instruction even to first-timers.

You can experience making Japanese cuisine and making matcha in Asakusa, Tokyo! This plan is centered around Nakanoshima Park. The bicycle ride takes about an hour. After the bicycle tour, you will actually wear a kimono and experience being a samurai or ninja. Enjoy Osaka by bicycle! A local guide born and raised in Osaka will guide you to fun and unique spots. We will not only provide you with sightseeing, but also a special experience where you can enjoy the city of Osaka with all your senses. The bicycles used on the tour are from "PALMGARAGE", which was founded in 1976. With a comfortable ride and stylish design, the journey itself is fun. The course not only takes you around parks, temples, and shopping streets, but also includes activities unique to Osaka, such as pottery experience. Discover the new charms of Osaka and make unforgettable memories! We will be conducting a monitor tour in preparation for the full start in April. Please come and make some fun memories!

"Studio Seikan" is a facility with a workshop, shop and cafe, where you can visit the manufacturing site of Yamanaka lacquerware, experience woodturning, shop, and enjoy cafe and sweets with lacquerware. This course includes a workshop tour (with explanation) - making a vase - lacquerware experience at the cafe (one drink included). Lacquerware craftsmen work here every day. In this experience, you can observe them up close and learn about lacquerware production. The staff will explain it in an easy-to-understand way. Next, you will make your own original lacquered chopsticks at the place where the craftsmen actually work. Think about the design of the chopsticks and paint them with real lacquer. You can experience authentic lacquer painting. The lacquer craftsmen will teach you carefully, so you can make them yourself until they are completed. You will surely be satisfied. It's fun. After that, you can enjoy drinks made with lacquerware at the cafe and taste sweets. Please relax and enjoy the lacquerware experience. Please feel free to ask the staff or craftsmen if you have any questions. Lacquer can cause a rash, but we check beforehand and use gloves to prevent it from coming into contact with the skin, so even small children can experience it. In this course, we will visit the studio (I will explain) ~ Making a vase ~ Lacquerware experience at a cafe (with a drink) Here, the lacquerware craftsmen are working every day. In this experience, you can observe it up close and learn about lacquerware production. The staff will give you easy-to-understand instructions. Next, you will make your own original flower vase using the wood turning wheel and plane that the craftsmen actually use. You can experience full-fledged wood sawing through making single flower vase. Most of the shapes are carved by yourself, so it's a little bit difficult, but it's fun! ! ! A friendly wood craftsman will teach you carefully, so you can make it yourself until the final completion. You will be satisfied. It is fun.
