Pass Nonomiya Shrine and head towards Okawachi Sanso to reach the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Walking through the bamboo forest, you can hear the natural sound of the wind blowing through the bamboo leaves. This sound has also been selected as one of the "100 Sounds of Japan that Should Be Preserved". This is also where Ang Lee shot Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Tenryu-ji Temple on the trail offers a spectacular view of a Japanese garden. If you want to enjoy shopping, this is a place you can't miss. *You can choose to get off and stay at the outlet mall or go to the next attraction, the hot spring. ▼Option 2: Day trip hot spring bathing experience (about 2 hours) If you would like to bathe in a hot spring instead of the outlet, we have a shuttle service available and will take you to the hot spring "Kinohana no Yu", which just opened at the end of 2019. The name of the hot spring comes from the goddess "Kinohana Sakiyahime" enshrined at Mt. Fuji and Fuji Sengen Taisha Shrine. From the hot spring, you can enjoy an overwhelming view of Mt. Fuji, and you can enjoy a large open-air bath while looking at Mt. Fuji with high-quality hot spring water from the private source.
