Iron is a human invention. People have walked with iron, as it is said, "Whoever controls iron controls the world." A Japanese sword cannot be made good unless it is made of iron using the traditional ironmaking method. With this plan, you can experience making iron from iron sand using the traditional iron-making method. Repeat the work of cutting charcoal into small pieces and adding iron sand to determine the "steel" part from the finished lump "kera". You can take the finished product home with you. ★We have someone here who can explain things in English, so you don't need an interpreter.

A swordsmith will teach you how to make Japanese knives using blacksmith techniques. Using the same material as Japanese swords, Tamahagane, the forged iron is shaped with a hammer. You can make your own clay holder and add a blade crest. Attach the blade, cut your name on it, and sharpen it to complete it. Although it is a physically demanding job, the swordsmith will be happy to assist you, so don't worry if you are not confident in doing the heavy lifting, such as children or women. You can take photos and videos while working! The trial fee is for one Japanese knife. You can also make one book for two or more people. In that case, please let us know how many people will be participating in the experience when making a reservation. If you are making a reservation for three or more, it will take a little longer. Please arrive with plenty of time to spare before the closing time. We may be able to move the start time forward, so please contact us.

Japanese swords are iron works of art. By listening to the explanation of the production process of the works of art that have been handed down from ancient times, you will be able to understand the highlights of swords and the points of appreciation. In addition, you can observe the training process (stretching, bending, and attaching steel), which is one of the processes of making Japanese swords. Please take a picture of the place where the spark sparks. The moment the spark scatters is an instant. Sometimes it is difficult to show the process again, so please do not miss it. We recommend the video. In addition, you can also experience the Ozuchi, which strikes iron. We also accept questions such as why Japanese swords are so hard and strong, and why there is a difference in price! If you apply for the "Knife making experience", you can apply at the same time for half price. Please apply from the option of "Knife making experience".
