Abashiri Drift Ice Sightseeing Icebreaker Aurora offers a closer look at the "drift ice" that covers the Sea of Okhotsk in white. The vibrations and sounds of moving while breaking the drift ice are powerful! During the voyage, you can move to various places on the ship. From the side deck and rear deck on the 1st floor, you can see the drift ice more closely. From the side deck, rear deck, and observation deck on the 2nd floor, you can see the drift ice covered with the Shiretoko mountains in the background. In addition, there are chair seats on board, a shop selling "Aurora goods" as a memory of your trip, and a restroom. [Clothes to bring]・Warm clothes・・・The inside of the ship is comfortable, but when you go out on the deck, it is very cold due to the sea breeze.・Camera/Binoculars [Notes] *Even if you make a reservation, if the number of participants is not enough, the service may be canceled on the day. * Drift ice is fluid, so it moves depending on the sea conditions. * We will operate to the drift ice zone offshore. *If there is no drift ice or it is far offshore, it will be a sea excursion to Cape Notoro.
While on board, you can move to various places such as the side deck / rear deck on the 1st floor and the side deck / rear deck / observation deck on the 2nd floor. The appearance of drift ice and scenery changes depending on the location, so please enjoy your own unique experience of drift ice.
